I agree with Smallboy on that. So what if you hold payment and he never comes to do. If it's just small matters that you can either live with or do it on your own... then ask him for a discount. But if the final payment is very very little... then I wouldn't even bother.

mm haha too difficult to tell already. cos carpentry need to know size/length. loan procedures... you need to finalise quotation (with ANY contractor/ID), get the english quotation, submit with application form to Bank.

mmm maybe if you're more specific on what you're doing? floor tiling of the house? tiling of kitchen? tiling of toilets? plastering? windows? mm and yes you can get a loan with Uncle's quote. I did from OCBC.

mm you can clean up the rest of the area first. putting up the mirror and the shower screen shouldn't be too dirty really. I had my shower screen put up after I moved in too. My top is celtic white.

mm both medium ah... the long hair one should be the one who did my place la.... quite meticulous but slow.. but tiling not bad. But the grouting not so nice so you have to take note on that one. AND he's very "obedient" My father asked him to tile in a "funny" way and he tiled. When Uncle came, Uncle SHOUTED.... WHY LIKE THAT???? The tiler quickly pointed to my father. LOL The other medium size one I'm not sure.

ahhh no need.. change WC no need to change floor tiles one. I change before. They take out, put back all in 10 minutes. Very clean somemore.

mm ye I'm also wary of the people sneaking up to me part... so I prefer to face the door. To prevent the glare you can put the screen on the end of the table and tilt it towards the bookshelves so that it would not reflect the light from the window.
