OUR DECALS ARE UP UP UP!! whoopeee! This is what the one in the living room looks like! What it says up close. The chandelier above my bed! Now we're left with the cherry blossoms for my sister's room which we can only put up tomorrow cos she's away... For your info, the one in the living room was custom made for us. I picked out the quote and emailed Amanda from Decorette. I told them the layout, the colour and size I needed and she showed me a draft before I paid. Paid on Wednesday and it arrived on Saturday in mint condition! ** On a sidenote** Today I really learnt a lesson. The decals were easy to put up but you have to be systematic when scraping the sides and corners. I am not such a person. But when I saw the work needed, I knew the perfect person to do it. My dad. And I was right. He meticulously scraped every corner not missing even an mm. And he fussed when we were putting it up on the wall. The credit really should go to him.

Ya.. commission is no longer fixed.. mm I paid GST too. sigh.

Ye I was surprised with my find also. There were plenty of people at the photo frames section, luckily I was able to grab a couple before someone else did

WAH yesterday was quite exciting... Early in the morning... we received a package from Singpost.. OUR DECALS ARE HERE!!! There are instructions to go with them and Amanda even included a sample for me to test try before putting up the real ones! So nice right? I shall get down to those this afternoon Our coffee table also finally came. We were all a little shocked when we saw it cos when we saw it in another shop it was SO SMALL! Anyway I'm relieved that it's big so that the living room doesn't look so empty Then I went out and got these VERY NICE photo frames from DAISO! $2 only and made of glass! nice nice! I also got the kitchen dustbin *finally* phew. But I didn't take a photo of it cos mom hid it.

wah looks big! I like that space behind the main door where you can have shoe cabinets...

it's possible! Just remember to use the Fengshui ruler for the right measurements. Or you can pick up those altar pamphlets from the Guanyin Temple there... and have a look at the measurements required.

Yup It's a one piece. I have all the prices listed in Page 8 of this blog... I wanted to post the link here for you but it didn't work and I dunno why. This one piece bowl + my square sink cost $300+ and the same one piece bowl + round sink cost $200+. The toilet bowl is from Baron (brand). I bought them from Eestilo de Vida. hehe no flip open drawer but just a normal drawer.

mm ya contractor give final quotation then you submit it for the loan. But as you are renovating... some things might be added.. or if after hacking, sometimes they realise that something needs to be done, then have to add on lor.

My final reno costs is $25k. but I overhauled my 5 room, hacked up all the floor tiles, redo the toilets and kitchen.. got rid of everything... mm ok la I'm sure he earned plenty too. most of the stuff we asked from him... didn't really require material costs on his part.

squeeze?? haha my parents squeezed my contractor for... covering up the tiny windows in the MBR and bedroom 1 levelling the panel used to cover air con box tiling their window ledge installing all the bathroom accessories (bowl and sink need to pay) store room door main door locksets assembling my other furniture (from ikea) plastering the balcony area mirrors in both bathrooms italian tiles on the foyer which cost $10.50/psf boxing up the pipes in the balcony cleaning all the windows and polishing the frames (we used the previous ones) servicing the two air con units Hollow block above the toilet door mmm and a load of other stuff la. hard to rem.

Yup very fast!! I looked for my own quote and made a rough layout. Then emailed it to her, told her the size, fonts and colours I want... she did two drafts for me, I paid on Tuesday night, she sent them out on Thursday and they arrived this morning!! For my own room I picked one of the decals she has and asked to make small changes to it and she did it without charge too. hehe

heh. normal workdays wake up at 5.45am wor. so kinda used to waking early liao. my decals are here and I'm going to put them up over the weekend. Amanda (fromd decorette) was so nice to do custom decals for me without extra charge!
