  1. mm He is rather busy. So do prepared to have to handle some things yourself ... I think... it's got to do with expectations ba. If you are mentally prepared that you will have to do some things yourself then you wouldn't be so stressed. Read the various T-blogs (forummers who got Ah Soon) to see how they manage... and you can also PM me if you want some tips. ALSO... get more quotations.. so that you can make an informed choice... instead of getting Ah Soon right away just cos he gives a good price... and later on you might regret. If after looking at so many and you still choose Ah Soon then you will be less upset. Time for me to call Uncle Soon...
  2. Wah finally getting your quote soon.. good for you!! What is the progress like now?
  3. wah Wendy and Aubrey nice drawings and plannings... So will you be able to stop the carpentry people Aubrey? I think the pull out spice racks are good and very impt to have to organise the space properly. As for the drawer unit you may not need for it to be so wide... I was wondering... if your mom doesn't want to cook under the beam would she want to prepare food under it? *curious*
  4.   WHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH So Funny!!! Why Uncle LIDDAT?! lol Mr. Ultra Famous
  5. Wah your grey feature tiles in the toilet is really nice!!
  6. YAY congrats on confirming! I'm glad you have been reading up and building up your expectations to have to do some legwork. But you know what? This also means that if you ever have to do a second reno, you can probably DIY! haha JIA YOU! going to LSH, Hafary, SL, SBH to choose tiles?
  7. I like this layout.. nice and neat. I think it'll be aesthetically pleasing too. I actually designed something like this for my own house. We have a full height shoe cabinet attached to a half-height one.. My mom came up with a "better" idea... She put the bar for the umbrellas at the upper portion. Her logic was that it's not easy to put shoes so high up... but it's easy to hold the bottom of the umbrella and hook it on a high bar... which is pretty true I guess. But I think having it at the bottom looks neater. haha
  8. Is it?? The puffer fish didn't disturb the shrimps I had.. they only challenged themselves by trying to get the faster wiry tiny ones that swim in schools.. I believe the fish shop Auntie called them Lighting fish.. something like that. haha
  9. I have bottom only!! and one full height one at the corner... I suggest you take stock of the cupboards you need. REMEMBER if you take bottom cabinets... you will lose one for the sink cabinet (which you can probably only put detergents) AND you will lose one for the gas if you use cylinder. You will need a drawer unit, one (or 2) for crockery... one (or 2) for dried stuff... another for sauces and rice... Must plan then see if you have enough. No point having made a beautiful kitchen that is not functional.
  10. I agree!! The new cabinets look fantastic!! teach us teach us!
  11. I love the tree!! it's so cute! How much did you buy it for?
  12. Thanks to my clumsy nature, I learn to look out for mini hazards. I like your new picture.. you know that compartment which you put muji boxes at the moment? You can have a rod there for hanging umbrellas and have doors for the area... The drawers are a good idea.. for socks. hehe.
  13. huh.. poor girl.. but shrimps are quite difficult to keep for long periods.. *sayang* get a nice batch once house is done ya? mmm maybe uncle forgot to include? did you tell him the last time? ya pufferfish will start to aim for the other fishes. But if your other fishes are wiry and fast the pufferfish won't be able to get them. it's quite fun to see them try to trap the fish. hehe
  14. ... you mean these plants are weeds? they seem to be growing super well on their own. lol
  15. Yup exam period.. one more paper to go. Luckily you begin planning early. Collect pictures slowly ba.
  16. NICE I love your recessed tv console. It's very neat and you certainly don't have to worry about kicking against it... About your kitchen.. will that be enough cabinet space for you?
  17. Good luck for your start tomorrow.. oops today I mean. mmm Shouldn't you settle lights before curtains? They need to clean up before you install curtains anyway...
  18. Your wallpaper is not included in Uncle's quotation? So your carpentry has started manufacturing alr? So exciting.
  19. Yup.. all rooms come with skirting.. that'll take a bit of time. Nice cups.. where did you gett he picture?
  20. Hi wtc... what do you mean by materials? It includes the wood and the tiles.. hehe it depends on what you negotiate with him. If you want him to provide the toilet bowl he can also but you may not like the toilet bowl he provides. I think largely for most of us... these are not included... kitchen and toilet sinks, toilet accessories, toilet bowls, hob, hood... however uncle can source for you and you pay separately.
  21. CONGRATULATIONS! haha aiyah at least he appeared today. for mine, he didn't even appear on the first day.. no one appeared in fact then when I called he said the next day then hack! haha Congrats!!!!
  22. haha yes I think I am addicted. I think pufferfishes are cute too. I used to have two and put them with bigger fish. It's cute to see them try to plot against the big fish and fail... and sometimes they chase after the small wiry fish but to no avail. lol You will still get to control some.. like the interior of your wardrobes and cabinets? Chosen laminates? Yup I want to keep the system 2 cos it's in good condition... so I think casement unit is the way to go.. mm Sanyo have ah... ok ok this weekend I go around and check things out before I ask uncle if he has lobang. I decided that with a casement Unit I can disable it if my bro starts to use it every night. WHAHAHAHAHAH
  23. WAH so your tiling it ALL DONE?? wonderful! Then liddat very fast already what...
  24. Ye. tiling quite fast one.. they just lay. It's the sides and the skirting that need a little more time cos they have to cut. but I think they can do it... 2 rooms ba.. should be quite fast.
