This noise problem does not only happen in HDB flats. My friend lives on the second highest floor in her condo, and every night and early morning she will hear loud footsteps stomping right above her in the masterbedroom. Not only that she can also hear doors slamming shut and heavy things being dragged and put down very loudly. She hasn't had a good nigh't sleep ever since she moved in. Tried talking to the ang moh elephants upstairs to no avail. She is scratching her head why is this happening!!

I haven't tried furnitures, but I shipped 7 lamps and a clock from US via UPS and it cost US$500.

My personal take on this is that LOCATION is more impt than tenure of land. However, now is not a good time to buy property as it's a seller's market. If can. try to wait a few more months. Prices should have peaked for most districts now, and should start to slowly decline after that.

I don't understand why are some people so obsessed with "stars" of a hotel. I feel that people shouldnt demean others, or tell others not to trust their coordinators? Ridiculous! Who do you think you are? Just because you are holding your dinner at Swissotel The Stamford, you can look down on others? I'm holding mine at Raffles Hotel.
