  1. Sorry to steal this thread to vent my frustration. Just sign up an ipeptition tp ask Ms Tin to contest in SMC instead. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/tinpeiling/ Reasons being: - PAP has kept on stressing merit system, and this this the right time for Ms Tin to show her strength to contest in SMC, based on her merit, but not "hide" under the elite's system of GRC, to go into parliament. - I guess PAP has seriously failed to understand the "common sense" and feelings of the commoners and does things one-way, to achieve its goals. It's its one-way wish to get youngster (Generals later)into parliament by GRC method. To sit in parliament has to be "somebody" with some weight lah, wake up! Hope PAP can make a U-turn before too late.
  2. PAP MPs cannot say "I don't know", can say " let me find out more". Mrs Chiam said "correct me if I'm wrong" over TV and telecasted, finished liao. Showed humble in the wrong way, but show her ignorance.
  3. That's the elite policy's "wonderful system" - voters have no choice but to vote the monkey into parliament. Getting more "Generals" into parliament, if you notice. The "original 4 generals", one of whom couldn't handle the job well during SAR period, but still remain in the cabinet because of strong backer(PM) who were army buddies, bo paiseh. Luckily our dear Khaw did a good job.
  4. How can a 27 yr old "elite" enters into politic to serve the general commoners, with too little yrs of working experience & worse part seen here that has been defended by the seniors and this elite has to hide behind the screen set up by the elites, in order to survive. This indicates 100% that elites protect "elite would be". Who suffer during the process? You know I know. Why the seniors talk so much, a fact is a fact. Commoners pay to help building elites without realising.
  5. Elite believes only elite can manage the common. They believed firmly in "paper". No paper = No entry, better believe me. TS got what I mean? Ask HDB if they accept DNA test result(Paper). Bring up yr case to opposition, let them shoot HDB (PAP)for you.
  6. Elite policy enrols tip-top scholars to set policies. Elite system based on "paper". "Paper" ensures fairness. Elite says no paper no talk.
  7. Good to experience "killing fields" when young which grows confidenc for all trades later on. Bitter then come sweet. Did not follow yr blog closely. I've been to Sembawang, Keppel SYs, once "sunset" industries have become "sun rise", almost all oil refineries in Jurong island, shell bukom.....offshore platforms. Attended disaster control courses. Witnessed a few major industries accidents. Quick ones: - Good habits need to be cultivated when young. The 3 darlings seem....??Wash cloth, mopping, cleaning, boiling water...??? - Water dispenser is convenience, for long term, beware of "stones" in body. - Over attention to "directions" add unecessary mental stress.
  8. Hear story about human body parts aurgueing who is more important? The last but not least, just action - shut the hole for a few days only, and all the parts realise who is the BOSS.
  9. Wow lau, water in Singapore river where got choppy in olden days? Only "slightly" dirtier than now. With all the bump boats around, I even swam in the river a few times! Some lau ah Hia also swam there. My wife just lived along the rive at Ellenborought street, Blk 3. Merlion gave way to Esplanade bridge. Now kena blocked by Bayfront bridge and the giant overhead bridge (ECP) and Marina bridge. I say, it should be shifted to somewhere near Marina bridge, facing the sea.
  10. 1. Big pass-through area, to "eat" ppls. 2. When heavy lightning storm, this building surely safer than the rest around. 3. Building very lonely, looking into sky and 我问天! However, 天不答,地不应。 4. Kena corner oneside still survive, proof religion is power? Look at the one(Yueh Hai Ching Temple) at junction of Phillip st & Church st, same same.
  11. Chinese buyers acquired more homes here than any other group of foreigners in the first three months of the year, bypassing Malaysians, the traditional leaders, in the process. Mainland Chinese - including permanent residents (PRs) - snapped up 241 homes this quarter.
  12. "人气" is essential at all corners of a house. Try make use of the room, whether for study, AV, hobby or anything, or even invite siblings/relative..... A consistently "left out" space within a house invites unecessary mental stress of "wild imagination".
  13. Keep the fruits in Bowling bags, wear bowling shoes, bowling glove, count 1,2,3, and ROLL!. Left with orange, right with pineapple, shout "huat ah" aloud.
  14. Should engage professionals like Dr Susan Lim. , then you will know the outcome.
  15. Shallow men are fishes. Brave men are fish catcher. Got start got end, complete a loop.
  16. Why give up near to catch the far ones? Money is not the problem, problem is "too far to be reached". Look at Singaporeans' such investment over China, Malaysia, Thailand, can tell from paper. Either build half way stop, or kena breakin, etc.
  17. What I meant was technical analysis like STI index, moving average, oversell, overbought, etc etc, were purely "technical". What the mkt will turn up to be the next day/next week depend on too many ever changing factors which human can't predict or even control.
  18. Late 1970, HDB 5 rm( actually 33k) sold at this price.
  19. So you are under which category? Shallow, Brave, or Deep?
  20. Woh so late meh, mine 1992, stayed for 13 yrs, then went for pte, stayed for >3yrs, now back to hdb again. Found staying in hdb more "worth" since I'm a singaporean. But I still missed my childhood kampong "landed" house. I think (mind not functioning well lately)5yr mop for new flat introduced sometime in 1996 or 1997.
  21. Best is a freehold "shoebox" at "excellence" loacation. Niece & her husband would be got a hdb resale 4 rm as well as a 1rm FH pte at Holland rd for rental. Fix deposit = timed deposit. Convert SGD into Aus $ and put in the account for certain time (timed deposit, 3, 6, 9, 12 months etc). Different amount of deposit earn different interes rate. Bear in mind the risks of conversion loss (banks sell high, buy back low), as well as the exchange rate loss/gain over time. As long as you have holding power, can consider. Aus $ is now in its highest, not advisable to buy. Can consider NZD, now quite low. See past 5-10 historical data. http://www.uob.com.sg/personal/deposits/fi...urrency_fd.html
  22. Public listed shares, DBS, UOB, OCBC,etc etc in singapore stock exchange. Buy, keep, sell though broking firms. Must have CDP account, stocking firm account, best with bank account, so receive & transfer $$$ is just a button away. Need no signing cheque, posting, etc etc.. http://www.sgx.com/wps/portal/marketplace/...EvZ0FBIS9nQSEh/
  23. Line 11. Seem you're right. Rules keep changing till brain blurr blurr lah.
