Newkdk Model V60wk/v56vk Are They Suitable For Hdb?
neubie replied to kajua's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Mine 5-bladed 60" Kdk runs fine w/o wobbling at all speeds. Check if the ceiling hook is the correct size. I personally watch my electrician installed mine n no balancing was done whatsoever. Too big or too small hook may cause the anchor more freeplay n that might cause wobbling. Make sure the gap (between the two white piece) on the fan assembly has a black thick rubber bush ring that fits snugly into the ceiling hook eyelet during installation. Some installers bring either too big/small ceiling hook such that the supplied rubber bushing cant fit nicely n conveniently throw away that for easy mounting. If thats the case, high chance the fan will wobble. If not get Kdk technical support take a look. -
20k Budget Possible For 3rm ?

From wad u described I dun think is that bad, only the toilet pipes need replacement, tiles can be acid-cleaned, doors changed… when I took over my flat, the condition on the kitchen floor is >20yo, using small mosaic tiles that is hollow when knocked… doors were damaged (ex owner is filing for divorce, fighting with wife, drama-mama). For my place I tore down the entire unit (except wc n bathroom) and still managed to do up with about 21k excluding aircon, tv console n living room cabinets… so i think 30k is far too cutthroat price liao… -

suggest u dun probe anymore, not all would like to rip open a healing wound. for other reader, do ur own judgment from the inferences... -
If u considering Singtel exxstream, yes, more exp than current adsl/mol packages. M1 is offering cheaper fiber packages than the other two ISPs since m1 dun have market share in fixed broadband so their pricing is more attractive…
-
If fast hand fast leg, shd take no more than 4 weeks.
-
wa, your plumber so lavish, give u copper pipes (prices more exp than stainless steel) thruout! the aircon bracket looks ugly initially, after painting to match wall color, it will look ok liao.... initiallly i felt the same, and my contractor told me if not comfy he can do up gypsum board to conceal the entire wall, but i dun think that's necessary at all...

See MP maybe more effective.

Even if the third party give free I oso dare not allow them cos of the reasons stated earlier. Gotta get this correct. Opennet does the physical installation of the TP n running of optic cables into ur hse. Rsp like m1/Starhub/Singtel only does the installation of ONT n RG nia. Upon commissioning, u subscribe to any Rsp, then wait up to two weeks before the Rsp sent their appointed vendor (eg Nucleus Connect) to come ur hse install the ONT n RG. I called opennet n they said my backend testing is in progress now n shd be receiving notification telling me I can subscribe to the fiber services liao...
-
better not. physical installation of opennet is just one part of the process. thereafter they will do backend testing on their side based on their records provided by their official installer. if so happens that your installation is not officially done by their appointed subcon, they will not do the backend testing and commissioning for u... and there may be subsequent complications thereafter....

IMHO, there's no such thing as free lunch in the world. Itemize the individual items and the sums will reveal. -
Work out the sum of floor area in sq ft, add extra 10% wastage, multiply by $6.5 ($3psf material cost for tile + $3.5psf for labour cost) n compare issit worth it anot.
-
If u can live with it then close one eye lor. If he can do it at no cost, let him do it. If he knows how to carefully remove that tile, it can be done within a day or two.

Get a $5 bubble-spirit meter to see how bad is the slant....
-
my advise would be to go for those suppliers in Sg Kadut/Kranji industrial areas where they tend to be cheaper in prices...

acherly the crow area was at my parent's place....wasted $2 inflatable bird from daiso.... my MP was on routine housevisit last week.... so i told her about the problem, and they'll send NEA shooters to bust them..... below is another email from them...
-
dunno issit my sight cock-eyed or your camera set too wide-angle, i see the wall edge slant ? the ceiling down lights are joined with dark pencil lines? make sure they clean them up or paint them over....
-
nice! I like the huge gray kitchen floor tiles.... low maintenance, cover up dirt very well
-
you went to the kim keat branch? i visited them before, got to take off shoes before stepping in one..... ... my experience tells me the ID will first show u numerous certificates and licences and awards, proclaiming they use their own workers and own cabinet workshop, to give an advantage over others.....

from the bedroom pics, ur unit looks like 2nd or 3rd storey.... any problems with noise from car park or void deck (if got red/white events)?
