Hi, In my HDB 3I, where there is only one bath and one WC, the previous owner have hacked off the wall at the back room to create an opening for the room to access the bathroom. Besides sealing back this door by the convention way of recreating the wall using concrete, is there any other method I can temporary sealed this door using any other material? I don't want to permanent seal it because might need to re-open it in near future. I was thinking of let the bi-fold door remain and then use a large piece of acrylic board to cover up the door entrance from the bathroom side so I won't be looking at the door in the bathroom but the white acrylic board instead.... I'm not sure have anyone done that before.... thanks for any ideas contributed.

Hi, I wonder if there is such thing as keeping the existing kitchen cabinets but just change the outer laminates only? The cabinet are all in good condition, but I just want to change the look only.

Oh.. what I mean is not doing overlay,... maybe cut out the affected portion of the area and re lay the tiles for that portion only... appreciate if can recommend some private tillers...... I checked with one, hacking alone cost me $2900!

Does this gas water heater gives out higher or same water pressure as electric instant heater?

My friend will be getting a resale. I saw the the whole flat are using 24x24 ceramic floor tiles (except kitchen). I realised there are some tiles started to pop up and when I knock on the tiles, there are many hollow sound at many areas. My questions: 1. As the tiles looks ok, apart from this popping problem, how worst can it get? can I retain the floor tiles without having to re do the tilings? 2. can the problem be fix at certain part (like remove few tiles and fix it) or it must be fix completely (hack up whole flat and do re tiling) ? Seems like no one is talking about this or no one is using this idea? I am currently looking at this issue also.... some contractor says can, some says cannot, some says will void agent warranty...... but according to calculation, system 3 plus a system 1 x 18btu definitely not exceeding 20A given nowadays inverter aircon uses less power. Can some give some useful input? HDB website doesn't mentioned anything about this but it does says as long as the total power does not exceed the 20A isolator rating.

Good service from salesman is one thing, the material used and responsibility of the company is another. I do agree with friendliness of Aron when I bought my aircon with him from Imperial 2years ago. Now he has left the company. The power cable of my aircon snapped, and I have to replace them at such a high cost, just less than 3 years old only. So apart from the salesman, I suggest everyone better check the company background and also inspect all the material they used properly before committing in a deal.

They said the problem cause by broken cable! and i have change all 3 units at the same time that cost $450!! My aircon is only 2 years old. How can this happened? He told me the wire got no warranty. What happen if the cable can't take the heavy load and caught fire ??? Blacklisted! I check with other airconman, they only charge $240 with good quality 3years warranty.... Feel cheated!

Yeah same here... In fact I have two units at home one direct above my bed n u can imagine how close the fan above me when I sleep. And even in living hall, never lift ur hand too high... But we already used to it and will auto avoid the fan:)
