  1. Nice la. We were also looking the same sofa from cellini but got a slightly different one now. Congratulations on moving in!
  2. Too much water may drown the cactus is i remember correctly. Anyway, nice plants! Am thinking of where i can have some in my place after its ready too.
  3. Welcome and enjoy the journey as much as you can!!! i have more fun than agony in my reno process so far. Hope you have no agony!
  4. Pictures of the stair lights aka swan lights in the "making" Assembly of the pieces of swan from the box piece by piece. My hardworking electricians fixing the light to the ceiling after dinner. The finished result without removing the wrapping and the adjustment of the necks.
  5. Updates: Lights are up today. Most of the lights are up coz i ran into some problems with the LED strips and my LED downlights. Some of the LED strips packaging has wrong items inside so now i am short of some warm white led strips. So i recommend you to check the lights as u purchase them instead of just trusting them so that you do not have to make extra trips to the shop like me. And my shop is in bloody Dubai. Also, i dunno why my down lights are flickering. Is it because i got all the lights on or maybe my transformers for the led lights are of inferior quality? Could it be a case of insufficient 'electricity' to the bulbs? The main lights are all ok and not flickering at all except for the LED downlights. This is giving me a real headache. Any idea why this is happening, anyone?
  6. Thanks. I am waiting and waiting to see how things are. How's yours going?
  7. Tic toc tic toc! the weekend is here already. Better hand in your assignment.
  8. More pictures: Yes!! We are so close to the finish line. I have already made the dates for the delivery of my sofa and beds by the end of the month. Lightings will finally be up tomorrow. Hope the lights will be all fine. And after that is done, i am just left with plumbing installations and then i will be just left with cleaning up and picking up all the loose ends and we are all set. Pardon me for the poor quality of the pictures as it was taken from the phone. This is the revamped utility room. Tic Tac doors for the storage area. And this is the stair railing with the glass, missing one small panel coz the measurement was wrong. Can you spot the missing piece? And the TV console with the glass finish on top less the appliances.
  9. Good luck my friend! Enjoy the process!
  10. Hmm... there are some hiccups, so am quite concerned if it'll lead to handover delay. But yeah, my reno is fairly extensive. I should show my toilets' hacked state, quite a big change post hacking. Wow, 3 more days! You must be really excited? 3 more days to 2 months, delay a little I guess. Thus not excited.
  11. 2 months is probably a good guess-timate. Mine is coming up to 2 months on the 18th, and mine is not so extensive wor. However, having said that, some of the days there were no WIP at home cos i am not in town. So if you can get work done every workable day, it should be able to be completed within 2 months easily. Hope to see your finished product and of coz the process. Have fun.
  12. Same same la. But rest assured the painters will do a good job. My 1st paint coat went through nicely without any stains. Lets hope the 2nd coat goes smoothly as well.
  13. I agree with you folks that the stairs look nicer without the skirting, but... ... i am worried the finishing without the skirting looks horrible. I dun wanna ask them to take it all off then put it back again. 2ndly, with the skirting, my mop own't hit the wall. Aniwaes, the capentry is nearly finished with a few rectifications and my glass and mirrors and granite tops are up as well. Just left with plumbing, painting, installations of lights and some touch ups to go and then i suppose i am all set to move in after that.
  14. More pictures The more or less completed kitchen. And the feature wall The dressing table with the pigeon holes This are the finished steps. Now I am wondering if I should remove the skirting or leave it. Any suggestions?
  15. Updates Some of the photos I took during the few days of carpentry:- Woodwork being moved into the house. The wall for the tv. Kitchen. Wardrobe.
  16. Cheers. Thanks. Haha. Evaporated now I think.
  17. Got a few questions: 1. Are most door knobs standard sizing? Coz i need to change the knobs and bedroom doors already has the hole for the existing door knob. Coz if its different, i must change the doors as well. 2. Any one knows of any guys who sells doors at reasonable rate? I definitely need to change my main door and gate, thinking if i should change my bedroom doors. 3. Anyone knows someone who does installation for kdk fans and thus balancing for it? Many thanks in advance.
  18. Thanks thanks, i also hope it will be wow. Thanks!!!! i also can't wait.

  20. D Day + 38 Floor tiles should be all done by today. Leaving with just the cleaning up and carpentry to go. Also some of my lights are arriving from china today as well. I really hope they are nice! Here are some photos of the reno in progress. The Work in process for the box up in Common toilet The boxed up pipes in my Master bedroom toilets
  21. Welcome to RT! All the best in your journey
  22. Thanks man. Told the guys to create le. Aircon man also told me the clearance needs to be there for air to flow me so that more air can flow out. ie allow cold air from compressor to flow out smoothly so as not to create condensation along the pipes.
  23. Sorted i guess. Just drill more holes nia. Thanks!! i guess its consumer power and i just have to be nice to the installers. Thanks buddy. I tried calling the opennet guys to ask for contractor contact but they refuse to gimme. I even said i will pay for it but answer is no again. False ceiling is going up as i am typing now. So i guess i got no time le. Just have to do what my electrician suggest. Well, i guess its a case of me doing things last minute again thats killing me.
  24. Hi guys, need some advice from any aircon gurus out there. My aircon is installed in the room but the clearance from the unit and the ceiling is only about an inch. Is it going to cause any problem? or should i create a pelmut in the false ceiling for more clearance?
