Oooh, like black flooring but not daring to do for whole house except for my kitchen. I think white should be the main colour for the whole house to brighten it or if you prefer, u can paint light grey (xxx galaxy). As for wall feature, my preference is either glossy white or matt black. You should add some steel strips to make feature more interesting and also to match your flooring. I will normally go for white or black sofa since they're pretty safe colour. Play with colours with your other furniture furnishings.

Oh, then I think I'm lucky. I'm the one who delay the handover rather than my ID...since I'm not in a hurry to move then. He said he has never seen anyone who is not enxious to move in. He thinks I'm odd...He is pretty good in chasing his contractors... I made my last payment on the day of handover only. He told me to call him if I have any problem with the house.

BEAUUUUTIFUL! you must be very proud to own this house. How come you got squarerm contact? Really like your study area. Like it being neat and tidy and free of wires. How much does it cost to build the table? Your house really look very spacious....very bold on the feature wall too. Heheh...I had the same tiles but I used it for my toilet feature. Still love the tiles to-date...(I moved in 3 mths ago) I haven't seen your dining table, you have one?

Basically, I think over will provide lots of versatilty in terms of changing sink or unforseen situation - your kids drop something into the stoneware sink and the sink crack... As for undermount, workmanship of installer must be good otherwise you will face leakage/wood rotting/poor support problem through poor sealing of sillicon. The surrounding of my office undermount sink is rotting like mad. Must be extra careful too not to crack the sink as replacement will be more troublesome. Nevertheless, I still prefer undermount look.

How come you have two fridges? Waa, if I renovate every few years, I be broke leh...my reno suppose to last me for twenty years...hehehe by then, everything will come apart..."cross finger" Oh yah, nice and neat kitchen you have. I wonder how long you can keep it neat. No offense. Common problem with everyone (including me). Well, you know how nice it is when things are neat and tidy. But the moment, you place a little bit of things here and there, it will look different... Keep more pictures coming in!

Mine have very small gap between the cabinet and cement base. Something I need to DIY long ago. You stay in Bedok? Me too! There are at least two plant farms outside bedok central. You can try.

How To Protect Your Sink?

Is it really good? Do you need to air it after every use otherwise it will become mouldy? -
Aiya, the full cabinet will also be home for roaches and other insects. Just because you dun see it, doesn't mean dun have.... They might be lurking around, playing hide and seek. especially ants....yucks! At least suspended cabinet allows you to mop. Maybe frequent mopping with diluted detol will help.

Inconsiderate Neighbour
yellow replied to Glamqueen's topic in Moving House: Packing, Storing, Moving To Your New House
I think just talk to your neighbours and find out what is happening instead of jumping into conclusion. Before I moved into my HDB flat, my neighbour will put their broom, bicycle and other barang barang outside my side wall which I consider "my space". After talking, they moved their things and been peaceful since. !! -
Hers is a landed property. She got a quite a few pots. Never go and count. So far, when her kids play outside, no mosquitoes...Anyway, I do not think it is 100% but at least it helps to reduce. As for me, I never like plants...it's a personal preference. I prefer liquid insect repellant - the plug in type. Pandan leave dispel cockroaches. That's why you see why some taxis have pandan leaves.
-
Not sure about pandan leaves - only know that it is effective for cockroaches and good for dessert. My friend told me about the anti mosquitoes plant only recently and told me it works (good for landed properties)...I never try personally though...

Wow, nice black sleek kitchen. Apparently, you do quite a bit of cooking huh? Really make use of the working area...very hard to maintain?

How Much Are You Willing To Pay For Kitchen Sink
yellow replied to applefreak's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Hi Applefreak. ya...I think mine is the same model. I know now it costs about $399. I bought it when it first released at promotional price at Hoe Kee at $369. After using it for 2.5mths, I still like the size. Finds it useful to put big items and still have space to wash. Applefreak, Pardon my poor knowledge. But what drainer are you talking about? Is it the round metal "plate" to prevent debris to enter into the water hole? Mine comes with it.
