    Growing Pandang Plant

my advise and advise from gardeners: these plants, as they trap insects inside them, they let the insects die in them and slowly digest them with their 'juices', and this will take a long process. so during this process of 'eating', some plants will emit bad smell. hope you think thrice and ask alot alot alot of questions to the gardeners before buying them. the bah soon pah world farm got many variety of plants. you can go to this farm also which has many variety besides selling orchid. its next to woon leng orchid farm but you can just walk over from woon leng as (i think) they are same owner. Woon Leng Nursery ST56 Jalan Lekar Tel: 6760 1708 / 2064 hope the above helps... im just been plain kpo...
  2. hi, i think most of the photo shops can do for you and also those wedding shops can do for you also if you have the negative. look at yellow page for photographer or photograph studio and call them. if you don't mind old pattern (owner is old uncle), but value for money and reasonable quality type, go Swan Lake photo studio, i think they are at Blk 91, Zion Road, #01-165, Tel: 6733 7081. this shop has been around for ages so you can rest assured that they will give you quality stuffs except don't expect for fanciful type. i'm those stingy type and i had my graduation photo taken there. but nothing fanciful juz that they are of reasonable price and quality and many ppl used to recommend this shop. you will see many 'stars' ever taken their photos at this studio ever before, eg. Chow Yun Fatt... it will be printed on canvas type for those really big ones. remember it must be able to be wipe clean with a damp cloth coz next time you need to clean and maintain it. the photo shops: cheaper as they able to direct do from either their own lab or send to the photo lab to process. wedding shops: definitely more ex. now don't charge and slaughter you, when to do it? !! and price wise, all depend on quality, frame type, size of photo you want it to be. generally range from $450 onwards for those hang on wall type. hope it helps.

  5. here's my experience to share... i bought kitchen and toilet accessories from all over the place, poh joo, hoe kee, genova... and i buy alot as we needed a far bit of items for the new house. poh joo - lady boss vy attentive, courteous and friendly and recommend whatever her knowledge and will check for you if she not quite share about the items in the store. a few sale guys are not as friendly but average. got a few items from there also but a pity some items that we needed are quite flimsy and small in size. hoe kee at jln berseh - kana the same U OWE ME MILLION DOLLARS attitute from the old man also when we pay for the toilet and kitchen accesories. we also asked about the hob and hoods that he was selling and he suan us that for such cheap items, if spoil, just throw away. WAH LAU! i immediately want to stab him in his old screw up brain. some more he says he's the boss there. i want to tell him then go stuff his own d**k up his a*s out from his nose and into his mouth la... !! !! !! but the 2 young men, 1 china chinese man and 1 specky loud voice young man (his natural voice, not rude but vy friendly type), are extremely friendly and try to help in whatever they can. the specky young man was more knowledgeable as my hb was asking how to install and so on and he's able to tell you all the steps. at 1st we hv doubt on his words and we checked with our contractor and our contractor confirm that steps in installing the items are correct. if not for these 2 young men, my hb and me would hv walk out empty handed. hoe kee at genting lane - heard that these branches are all family owned and run but by different family members. the old man is the boss and he is vy pushy in selling his items and halfway, he just walk off ignoring us as we look like we will not buy anything. then the old lady come quickly and help us with the items we need. worst, i think its his son, just sit in the manager seat, put his leg up on the table and cont'd sleeping as if at home. and nobody dare to wake him up despite the amount of customers at the store. but people at this store generally are poor in the product's knowledge as well. and i overheard his other son (i think coz of the bossy way he talk) over the phone talking to another customer over a broken tap which is meant in the shower. i think the tap was broken and water burst out after they had install and turn it on to try. the tap is those type where there's a rainshower on top and the tap is below type. so naturally they are upset and want to change the whole thing but the young man keep telling them that they cannot do exchange for them as they are sure that the tap is in gd condition when it was sold off to them. and that they are unable to send ppl to check on the tap. i think the customer argue quite fiercely coz suddenly the young man just say"do what you want to do but we cannot exchange the whole thing for you" and just put down the phone. den the old man ask him what happen and he relate the thing to him and the old man also say "ya, we cannot exchange with them, don't know what they do during installation and they come and blame us and the product" overhearing this, i told my hb don't buy those type of rainshower and signal him to quickly pay money and go off coz can feel the store heat rising. hoe kee at IMM - sales ppl there are friendly and helpful. again, not vy knowledgeable on products. hoe kee at plaza singapura - sales ppl there are helpful but not everyone are friendly. if you see and didn't buy, they will come out with some sarcastic remarks. i got a dustbin from there coz that is what i wanted. hoe kee at tg katong complex - the sales ppl there are much more helpful, friendly and knowledgeable on their products. got a few items from there. sim xiang jun at IMM - Customer service also sucks. we was in the shop for 30mins and nobody attended to us maybe their store was crowded with customers. genova - sale guys are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. but a pity their product variety are limited.
  6. agree with you. the guy should go see a psychologist. most men (i refering to those selfish type but still have sex ones) who want to get high and release, would like to engage in sex with women but will not try to satisfy the women but instead will just release as and when he like. bcoz generally, most women takes longer time to get high and achieve climax than men. this one is so special....

yesterday was walking around Chinatown near the Buddha Relic Temple side and found a shop run by a China chinese. his shop is facing Maxwell Hawker Centre / Food Market. he hangs alot of vy vy big brushes (meant for Chinese paintings) outside his shop and so its vy easy to recognise his shop and plus he put a signboard stating that framing services available. he has alot of cheap paintings from China, ranging from $20 to $400 depending on the size and type of paintings. Mostly that i saw are oil paintings. got china girls, landscape, Buddha (nowadays vy popular those types and he has many different patterns and sizes selling around $70) and abstract as well. these paintings are not mounted onto the wooden frame yet. the paintings are very very cheap. $20 for abt a bit smaller than A4 size, $68 for abt A3 size and so on.. but the China boss (man) got attitute problm, like everybody owe him a living like that. keep saying that Singaporean will not open a shop on public holidays etc... only China ppl vy hardworking etc... except for that, the paintings are worthwile to take a look.

  13. Selling 3NG flat located at Bedok North Central Blk 204 Helping a friend who like to sell her 3NG flat located at Bedok North Central Blk 204. Prime location. Ready to move in condition as its fully renovated. Fully air-con for whole unit with ready to move in condition. Fully renovated for whole flat with kitchen and all tiling done for whole flat. Good for young couples and retiring / retired couples who need the convenience and a cosy flat. pls contact Ms Low at: 9459 2134
  14. valuation include: 1) the recent transacted price of similar flats (eg. 3rm to 3rm, 4rm to 4rm, etc.) in that same area, 2) the amenities around it, eg. got PIE, ECP, TPE, transport, MRT etc., schools (famous schools = higher demand = higher value in valuation = also higher cash by desperate parents who want to get their kids into such school, eg. 3rm around raffles vicinity once hit $250k! must be siao to pay so much for it), got lift or not, got covered walkway and food centre / mkt or not. 3) surrounding areas, eg. near reservoir, nature reserve (coz got mountain & water = cooling = $$) noisy or not, etc. eg. if besides expressways, den maybe cheaper coz of noise 4) year of block (eg. how many years out of 99 years) 5) condition of flat, eg. well maintained, extensiveness of reno (is it gd enough for general move in etc.), any leakage, etc. a) reno include: like what apple say: ~ a tiled vs screed floor, marble vs ceramic tiles kind of add-value the value added does not correspond with the reno bill, can be move in type or not? eg. some ppl may hv cabinets that are falling apart, tiles broken and must rehack / retile etc., den it makes a different. got wiring done or not? my aunt's 2 nieghbours that had moved out abt the same time but the price for both units are so far apart. 1 is ready to move in except for general touch up, meaning only need a new coat of paint and cleaning but all floors, toilets, storerm racks, kitchen top & cabinets all well done fetch a cash for $12k. but a bare unit that need to do tiling, and practically everything, fetches $3K only and both are at central area, same blk & same floor. see the difference? if you hv hse agent as freinds, go ask them their on valuation criterias. and whether buyer likes the reno and want to pay for the asking price is dependent on the negotiation process. same goes for seller. and also there are gd & nasty sellers / buyers also.
  15. wah, den must find out what makes the husband suddenly think open... must share the secret so that karen77sg can advise her friend to try the secret formula...
  16. hi, juz my 2cents worth.. 1) abt getting MBA & where to get it this is advice from my lecturers in uni. get gd results and go to ivy league for well known MBAs which is more for socialising & netwking and not for gd result. can pass can already. 2) to get MBA 1st or basic degree 1st? a biz degree do not emcompass only accounting. you are not doing basic accounting. you are doing cost accounting, financial mgmt, strategic financial mgmt & investment planning for own company, in own country and cross countries. these topics are not easy topics, not just numbers only. many ppl (even biz students) flunked these subjects. and these subjects doesn't even need you to know how to do accounting. no longer there are debit and credit, but formulas, etc. and also require you to do up a whole company report and those annual report. something like what the financial auditors are doing. and these are done in basic degree. i had taken 36 subjects + 1 project in 3years for my hons and there are definitely ups & downs. and these 36 subjects hv their own assignments & 1 project each. you can imagine the tons of books & information to read thru. 3) any difference between MBA and degree? and does the results affect your interviews, promotions, employment, etc.? pte sector in big company, there are simply too many degree, MBA, PHD, PE holders. so even if 1 have PHD also not much effect, only the salary will be the major difference and also the responsibilities, unless you are the CEO. entry to big company of coz depend on the interview and HR will ask the usual question like why your results so so .... from the uni etc. don't forget they also employ ppl with poor results. unless the big company got vy high standards, eg. the recent casion op, they only employ top notch ppl and impt posts are filled by their main staffs direct from US. public sector of coz your results will matter as they really look at them with microscope! but once you are selected, you will find that a degree or MBA is like nobody in the orgn. they treat those scholars (who are bonded to them) more value than the rest. POLITIC everywhere, big or small company, pte or public sectors, all got politics. small company, boss scare you anyhow use their money so all decisions are controlled by them. big company worst, tons of politics and definitely decision making is not up to you, unless you are at managerial posts but also most decisions had to be done with a group of ppl. 4) what do i do if i got a MBA or biz degree? basically, mgmt lor.. but depending on which area. in sales, got budget to meet. ususal ang mo companies practice quarterly reporting. thats why staffs turnover rate is high. in HR, deals bascially with all HR problm. and if its big company, you get to obtain gd experience. in small company, you get to tackle mostly are pay and recruitment problms only. there's no company who will employ a staffs for mgmt only. do what? it must be defined. purchasing will not be entirely left to a section or a few ppl to handle, most big companies will hv a few group to vet thru and this is what ppl usually calls red tape. like what some of the folks here say, technical engrg are more straight forward. but if you are considering switching line, maybe can do technical sales? or can try taking up another field of study, eg. into biological waste mgmt etc. which will be the next century big thing as most of these countries need such ppl and SG definitely require such ppl due to constraints of natural resources. of coz theres no right or wrong, but do consider carefully. there are some ppl with degrees and their 1st 2years went flying in leaps & jumps but after that its kinda stagnant, and new and younger ppl are replacing your importance in the company, are you able to take that? hope the above helps...
  17. ya, think she must try go counselling 1st. and usually counsellor will able to give some sort of suggestions to open up she & her hb to talk abt it. sometimes as outsiders, we don't understand the depth of the problm as she may not tell you everything. like some ppl i know, both couple hv tons of sexual activities and kinky sex before marriage with each other before marriage and after marriage, the kick kinda fade out... and in asia, most ppl don't tell you this. i also know of some guys & girls (esp. guys) complained of the opp partners' high sexual needs that they can't cope. but great and thorough observation may be needed if one need to know if the opp partner is a gay. i know some girls also got this kind of lesbian problm. but as we are asian and in our society, these behaviours are not treated as normal, so these ppl tend to keep vy low profile. OT abit, i ever saw 2 china male workers kissing each other on their face at a bus interchange! and irregardless of ppl staring at them. this is the kind of attention that it will seek in our society unlike at those ang mo countries where its treated as normal.
  18. as im using storage heater, i run hot water to kitchen sink, mbr basin and the rest of shower pt. only exclude washine machine, common basin and 2 toilets' spray gun pts as these pts are not necessary.
  19. can't help but kpo ovr this thread.... me vy kpo... from your descriptions and if all is true according to what your frend had told you, this is my guess... 1) like some forumers here say, he might hv some health problems, STD, which he doesn't want 2nd soul to know so don't want to hv sex. 2) to say he don't hv desires, den how cum he masterbate? this shows he has desires. and even if he has hormonal changes, there are other symptoms that will show up, etc. great loss of hair, loss of interest in other activities, eg. work, hobby, etc. but not in this case as he still obessed with FS and bazi study which goes to show too much enthusiatic ovr it. 3) all points to the fact that he may be gay. gay guys can be the female type or male type, meaning when 2 guys who are gay, 1 is the man role and the other is the woman role. and most of these ppl don't like to get involve with girls. they married for the sake of marriage, able to answer to their family coz they conceal their actual likings from their families. only gays hv such strong rejection towards girls, most of them don't like to hv sex with girls but like to hv sex with guys. they are able to conceal the likings vy well until the day either they cannot take it anymore and want to stay with the guy that they love or can't take the normal man & wife marriage anymore. the advise is to go for counselling 1st, and let your frend open up her heart and telling the counsellor that its alright that if he's a gay and she can accept that (provided she want him to acknoledge infront of a qualified person who can help to file a report if she wants to annul the marriage or file for divorce). for a marriage without sex, there must be proof and that means to go for medical checkup by appointed doctors, obtain a medical report and file for annulment since they had not hv any sex since marriage. if not, this can be use as a divorce reason also. men (including women) are born to like to engage in sexual activities juz that due to society constraints, they are controlled. sex is men's 2nd nature and there's nothing to be shy or ashame of coz its juz like you need to drink, eat, sleep, ****, etc. if this man doesn't hv any medical, health or physical problem, then he should go for counselling or see a doctor. juz my 2 cents...
  20. blk 468 areas are doing repainting works now and my blk is completed... juz in time for my shifting in this coming saturday. my reno already finished with a bit of hiccups coz toshiba big fancoil wasn't in SG until end Oct, so had to wait for my reno contractor to get it and install it + full pressure testing, balancing etc. and finally its done finally, the day have come to shift out of my 1st love nest of 6years... kinda will miz it and the area...

    Cooking Wok

i duno abt the stainless steel, should be no problm, so long its not aluminium type. i heard from someone that aluminium no gd to be cookware or use for cooking of any type of food. and that pots like corningware or glass type are better although they will break if not handle carefully. i duno... anyone advising here?
  22. Joo Chiat complex, 1st floor, shop facing outside main road have a shop that sells alot of variety of such lace curtains cheaply. I was curtain hunting and i juz ask why the cheap price comparing to organza. the uncle told me that now the in curtain is organza and that's why organza is ex now. whereas lace curtain was a past thing and no much ppl buying so there's a offer to try to clear the stock.
  23. WAH SEH U ma chiam fierce leh... but hor, sometimes that's unbearable lor... can understand why you so fierce, vy dangerous leh these cyclists. that's why when there's news that someone being knock down at geyland and little indian areas, i dun sympathise with them. reason is that many of these foreigners (i dun mean to offend anyone here but its quite true) eg. from china and indian, juz anyhow cross the roads or cycle ACROSS the roads despite vehicles are coming. and they juz squeeze into the crowd which is vy dangerous. but hor, i tink most gals all only look infront never really notice things that are coming from behind, unlike you guys where you are trained in the army to be super alert
  24. busy with reno and shifting hse lor... juz recomended a forumer to read up your blog on $ saving tips leh... some other stupid forum ppl always suggest vy ex items... wondering if they are selling those items or not? and recommending those ex and not much use feature reno items which require extensive maintenance type of designs to newbies. im a guo lai ren and also a practical and functional person so don't like $ & time wasting ideas. unless i can employ 5 maids to do hse maintenance and cleaning, if not, i will not want to hv those items to be a burden to me which will tired me out. and also many ppl never consider abt old folks and kids, so hse is not userfriendly to them, something like gd to look at (like designer showflat) but not user friendly. wat if we grow old, or kana accident when young (phui... touch wood) and may need to use what old folks uses and the hse hv to be userfriendly, eg. easy access to toilets, grip bars, etc. rite? of coz have to be cost effective, safe and functional. i vy bad hor... always saying things so straight outright and maybe kana shoot by other ppl... but anyway, im your greatest fan leh.. once shift into new hse, i will try your cleaning method which i like alot leh. coz i face the same problm in cleaning my current hse also.
  25. hi all, juz want to share this with you guz out there. i was walking at chinatown when i saw this small store which sells painting. the store is those pushcart temporary type except that its a small store located on the street juz infront of tbe buddha tooth relic temple. next to this store is a store that sells hm deco lightings which have items from Thailand (i ever saw similar items at Thailand Suan Lum Night Mkt). the lightings are vy much like resort type. and this small store has quite a few different type of buddha paintings which are quite nicely done and other abstract paintings of different sizes. but as i didn't ask for the price, i don't know how much are the paintings. i guess shouldn't be too expensive. maybe you guz who are interested to get some of these similar type of deco and go there and take a look.
