  1. I see! Think you will have high ceiling which would not make the place look small & cramped either. More pix of your completed place when its done.
  2. How long would it take to be completed? It looks like 60% is completed now
  3. Waiting for Greycat see if she wants to organise an encore cupcake outing? Btw must see when you guys also free, die die also must come.
  4. Ya it will be very hot, last time I went to buy my lightings I was looking at the spotlights and was standing under one, then I realise it was really warm standing under it. The salesguy did mention that spotlights are really hot that why they're used for outdoor purpose than indoors. After hearing that, I was a little disappointed actually 'cos I was thinking of having spotlights for the passageway though. And Im using halogen yellow bulbs. those small ones for my living room light. Have a total of 6 for it alone as its a 3 arch light. 3 of the lights went out less than 5 months, left is remaining 3 lights but I think will go out soon. So thinking of getting white lights instead cos more lasting.
  5. This floor planner is free le but i think there is a problem with the software programming. I also had problems with loading my saved floor plan or saving any changes made to it. It was taking long to load or save or even didn't load properly. So I gave up on it
  6. It must be a difficult & trying time for you like this having to undergo chemo sessions. Dun worry about the hair. You can do some experiments see what suits you most as long as you are happy with the style. Just go with the flow and shine like a lovely star on your big day!
  7. No need to thank me, Im just giving ideas for what you can do, the rest is in your hands as you alone can make it work with your hubby to be. Don't look back, just look on forward can already. Ya marble is very heavy. I think next time you move, it will be a chore trying to lug it to one corner. Maybe you can consider marble table top with steel legs? TYM has one in his t-blog can see. Paiseh I thought your place at Mei Ling St is cos its near Ikea also.
  8. Just curious, your MBR & Bedroom3 have windows right?
  9. Marble is ex cos its a heavy type of material. Pretty durable and hardy. Congrats on your new flat, its a resale right? Is it by any chance in Mei Ling St? Maybe you can look around see other similar marble tables suitable with your budget in mind?
  10. lol, Im now a temporary hsewife for the time being. Now job hunting
  11. The effect is not bad le, Can see that the planning of your layout is done nicely with the odd corners also
  12. I think if you spray paint it, you better make sure that the wood cabnet is sanded down properly that the paint will be even and less of an eyesore. Wood cabinet if not fabricated and sanded down properly, there will be bound to have splinters at a point or so which means the edges will be sharp I imagine. Some more, during washing of kitchen floor & even the dishes, there might be water splashing on the cabinets. Do take note that water can cause wood to rot faster so check with the contractor or ID to see if your wood cabinets are well protected with the paint. Other than that I also not sure if it would be good to have it spray paint or not since I never see such case in sg except overseas countries have for themes like countryside, loft and sea I believe.
  13. Pardon me, the durian look? Short and spiky or army style? But seriously I think you can tame the look with a little bit of styling gel and add a flower to the side of your head, just tucked at the ear. No earrings but a simple necklace is fine. I think it will give a feminine & airy look plus I think off white or just cream colour gown will be softer on you? A toga style gown would be best to show off the short hair look, neck and accentuate your shoulders as part of your strengths & spirit that way. Less conventional than the standard empire or bustier gowns & no frills like ribbons or whatever. Understatement would enhance even better.
  14. Long time no see u around in RT! Looks like your reno went well despite any minor problems you might have encountered along the way. Your foyer area layout forms a streamlined divider to minimise the effect of odd corners here & there esp with the slanting wall at dining area. Like the mickey mouse design Not bad.
  15. WAH you got so many spotlights in the kitchen !! I think I see 8 spotlights unless there are others not shown in the pic
  16. I must say you're daring in the use of wood for kitchen countertop so far.
  17. Not bad your kitchen and the carpentry. I was very surprised to see wood counter top since water will cause the wood to rot away with time?
  18. Must ask greycat when she wanna have an encore cupcake baking cum doggie gathering again? And you got to turn up for it no matter what! Actually, summer was very naughty so had to put him in a enclosed fence perimeter for the most part of the time spent at greycat's place 'cos he kept trying to hump poor donut & at the same time fighting too. Oreo is most adorable, very small and kept licking everywhere. I think Donut likes summer in a sense? Yuki is very lively,
  19. Whoa, it sounds like you've changed your mind about the landmark forum course. Thanks for the invite but I still need to be at home to prepare dinner for my hubby though. What would be on tuesday night by the way?
  20. 42" tv right? for that price, its considered a good price. Most 40" tvs i see in the market are quite ex. about 2-4k+ hor
  21. It sounds like a display set since most display sets in stores come with efficiency ticks and safety mark sticker. But im not entirely sure if it is a display set since some stores might have models with stickers on them already so check with the store? My fridge was delivered, wrapped up in wrapper with stryfoam corner inserts for the corners in the box but without any stickers on it. I got the efficiency tick sticker separately by the delivery guy.
  22. Inner beauty is definitely in the eyes of the beholder. What not many can understand is that beauty will eventually fade and no matter the efforts to maintain a good complexion, age will still catch up with you. In early 20s, usually beauty & appearance matters most but when one is really past that stage of looking at just beauty and looks alone, there is eventually that person infront of you all along in the end with his/her good and bad points seriously. We were all younger in those days once so attraction is definitely part of this cat & mouse game. Its just that we've progressed farther than that now. What you have now is a great bf who is going to marry you for what you are, not just the looks alone. Whether you go down the aisle with no hair or not, its not irrelevant. What is relevant is that you guys are marrying each other for being together in unconditional times, ie; good and bad times.
  23. Apple jiejie, That's great to hear about your mum's discharge! About the gathering yesterday, me and ranval had fun playing with the piping decorations after the baking of cupcakes. LLhome couldn't make it last min. So left me and Ranval + our doggies. Greycat will post pics of the cupcakes & doggie pics I think. Ranval's oreo is really so small, 2x smaller than summer in size. Yuki very enthusiastic bite my pony tail also. Only naughty one is my summer. bad summer, trying to hump donut. PS: Ranval , thanks for fetching me yesterday! Didn't manage to pay you for part of the taxi fare.
  24. Your reno process is going well. Like your choice of sofa, looks spacious enough to sit many people at the same time.
  25. I can understand your anxiety and concern for your mum. Everyone out here loves food too, apple jiejie so you and your mum definitely are not alone. Maybe you can look up some recipes online which caters to diabetic people without affecting the taste? There is bound to be something catering even for every group, even for the dummy-proof recipes for people like me who can't cook. However the thing is that because your mum is diabetic, she has to do this kinda insulin thing or something right? And I heard that if her sugar content rises too high or too low, it can be really risky at her age, likely life threatening if not watched carefully.
