  1. Very nice leh, I like the wine glass holder. how much is it to construct one if you're going to have that above the bar counter?
  2. I also raise hand 2gether with summer's paws. Virgo, we're joking around the place le, mocha's signature is really cute the way babytan say it. My hubby's dog, summer dunno how to do a perfect NIKE sai somemore. Kekeke, ya hor. I also want to laugh too. :notti:
  3. kekekeke waiting then for pix fo your buys enjoy shopping.
  4. Now renovation prices going up, it is better you adjust yours to 25k max and a few k set aside as buffer for your reno. If you don't do any carpentry or very little, you will save some costs for your other important piorities, ie; kitchen, flooring first. For eg; Cost for tiles will vary depending on what range are you looking at, ie; $2 psf? $2.5psf? (see the cost of sand too if any) Toilets will cost about 2.5-3k each to hack and lay tiles including waterproofing, paintworks about 1k+ if going by market rate i think. False ceiling is about 800-1k le, electrical works depends on how many points and whether you want to change its location etc etc. Im not sure if prices are the same now due to increasing costs. This is as of what I know back then. Carpentry is most ex, will take up the bulk of your reno cost, besides the toilets & hacking that is.. Gives you an idea of how the costs breaks down, so be sure to get a breakdown of the costs for the quotes you get.
  5. There are so many pros & cons for solid surface be it white or black colour le. Like I said before, it depends on how often you cook and yes it does depend on maintenece too just like what donut88 says. However it also depends on your budget too. Some solid surface can be higher at $90-120 psf. (some will say this and that kena imported) So do your research carefully and you can decide which brand for solid surface you want to go for? Just remember to check if have warranty for the solid surface/ counter top you want to get.
  6. Better be sure about the levy when you've purchased your furniture. 'Cos I believe that the tax levy is like if you bring in goods into sg where the value has to be declared & the levy calculated by the relevant party, ie; the custom, is based on the value. Happy shopping though with more pix of your buys.
  7. That would be a good buy if includes the chairs too. But I notice that you mention that you were quoted the price + transport + 7% GST right? But where is the tax levy?? You have to pay for the tax levy, confirm chop. 'Cause got to bring into sg ma. Unless the furniture shop absorbing the tax levy cost?
  8. Thats heavy. Maybe more apt should be "He aint heavy, He's just my dad"
  9. *nudges* ranval, quick vote! Wanna see pics of mocha's signature or not??
  10. Usually convectional oven does not have microwave function as convectional oven does not require microwave waves or radio waves to heat food actually. Believe the model, Sharp R888F mentioned is a microwave oven with convectional function actually. This can be googled online for more reference.
  11. Woo looks very nice, the dining table. Saw that shop before I think but never go in at all. Like glass tables with steel/chrome legs somemore. More classy. Its about 1000+ sgd if converted into sg currency right? Does it come together with the dining chairs or just on its own? 'Cos furniture shops will have their pricing differently for dining table & chairs separately. So it will work out to be slightly more if it does not include the price for the chairs as well.
  12. This is ideal for those who do not want to have built in oven if they are not going to use one for long term purpose, ie; baking. Furthermore those who want to use oven for baking, it is better to go for built in oven partly 'cos built in oven can bake at least 2 batches at a go than having to bake 1 batch at a time in between intervals. Quite time consuming. Do note that this is not an convectional oven. Its a microwave oven with convectional function only However, if need for practical use than baking, then microwaving, grilling and etc is good since it means you will use the oven more for cooking and etc. Im using this type of inverter oven and so far I do not have any problems using it. Just that my only complaint is that i need to bake cupcakes (1 batch) at a time at intervals since I am currently learning to bake.
  13. Will they bite if I carry them? If not, then one day got chance i go beo your guinea pigs. Never carry one before, only hamsters. They somehow resemble rabbits abit for their size except the ears. Can pass them off as rabbits sia
  14. Hi Mrs png, you bought the queen size sofa bed from IKEA ah?
  15. Could the problem be due to the pipes outside or concealed ones?? but best is to get someone experienced down to check asap. If proven got seepage from other sources, the relevant contractor or whoever build the flat is liable to make good any work or even compensation since not your fault.
  16. Kekeke ya no reno is always smooth sailing unless both parties make it a good start towards a progressing reno. That said, the guys will be more appreciative and given their love of craft, they won't do sloppy one. After all we're all humans with some room for error to learn by and by
  17. As the article indicates, renovations is never cheap due to the increases here and there. Still, your reno process is going smoothly, the guys are quite fast le. How soon is your handover date btw?
  18. Kekeke sure if you want to take pics of mocha & baby's signature, only that if the other readers will feel suay or not see pics of sai le???
  19. WOO i finally see ur blog, going to chop place here see your reno process by Ho Bee
  20. I doubt HDB will allow the concept of the balcony idea, esp since it got to have approval from the relevant authorities, probably BCA. This idea would need to be explored and tested first if it was introduced in sg here.
  21. As long as both of you can live with each other including the doggies, not an issue in having an equally noisy family.
  22. I think the more bo-chap one is, sure will bound to have some chemical attraction. This is the same for girls being attracted to bad boys type. Your Oreo sounds like one.
