Ya lah ya lah...you gals are bargaining experts lah I know electronic item price always drop, but 1-2 weeks drop $100-200 a bit too much right So their price very flexible. If you are firm to get from them, I somehow got a feeling can bargain some more leh. I asking more on Toshiba leh. Mitsubishi I think around $3400 to $3600 without bracket. Maybe you check with them without bracket how much, and if get 2 sets got cheaper boh...

Reasonably Priced Computer Table & Tv Console?
keltong replied to gingerbelle's topic in Home Furnishings
So sweet...my wife will probably kill me if I buy a 42" LCD for my game console -
You mentioned the LG is only 3-6mths old, I personally won't mind. If you don't use it often, than it's ok if it consume a little more electricity. But the installation cost seems high to me, you might want to ask around to compare. For the living room, are you going to on often? If not, an inverter system may not be worth it too. I am also not toying between inverter and non-inverter because I got ceiling fans in every room and living/dining room got 3 ceiling fans. So have to consider will now no the aircon as often as I do now. They quoted you Mit Starmex inverter sys4? How much they quote me so much, without bracket some more. Maybe they guy don't like me. Still too high for my liking.

Not true lah, I shifted my Billy bookcase 2 times, once from one room to the other, once from one house to another, will be shifting to new place again, still going strong after 10 years. Also shifted things like chest of drawer, bed, racks, shelves, wardrobe, chair, etc...just too many to list....and using fine till now. Use varies from 2 years to 10 years. Was there the a few times since the sales start, coz just nice getting stuffs for my new home. Today went to add more things for the delivery so don't have to pay delivery twice. Heehee...but big damage to my pocket. Most things I got not on sale sad but still got some good buys.

Below is from the HDB website: Sellers and buyers are contractually bound to complete the sale and purchase once the Option to Purchase is exercised. If either party breaches the terms of the agreement, the other party will be entitled to enforce the terms of the Option for specific performance, damages and/or any other remedy. If there is any dispute, the buyers and sellers may wish to consult a private solicitor on the rights and remedies in the matter. Alternatively, the buyers and sellers may wish to consider settling the dispute through mediation at the Singapore Mediation Centre. You can call them for assistance on the procedures and charges at 6332- 4366.

My recommendation is also to go for sys 2 for your living room leh. Think it will be better than to have 1. You living room must be quite big, so if you have 2 units cooling from different area, will be better than 1 big unit trying to cool the whole room. Make sense?

Reasonably Priced Computer Table & Tv Console?
keltong replied to gingerbelle's topic in Home Furnishings
42" LCD TV for your room entertainment! Wow. OK, for TV console, most will state what size TV or the weight that can be put on it. But I personally don't like Ikea's TV console coz I am looking for the long type. Most of it are the short type so may fit your need since in the room no need long type. -
Just called them, the 'Japanese Inverter' promo is over, say their SA too busy no time to update website. But say the Panasonic promo is still on. So asked him how much for a sys4 inverter for 4 bedrooms, almost fall off my chair. Mit Starmex $3900 Toshiba $4100 If yours is a new HDB flat, should have the power point liao, maybe that's why they say exclude power point. Do you have A/C ledge, check there should have a big switch for A/C. Or check the electrical drawing diagram from HDB, should state there also.

You just validated my need for a 42", mine also about 3m Ceiling Fan also depends if you are getting those with lights. With lights and without lights (and the number of lights) can mean quite a different in price. I installed ceiling fan/w lights in all the rooms coz dun wan to find space to put a standing fan. When you are budgeting for things like heater/ceiling fan/lights, do remember unless your ID will install FOC for you, the prices quoted by the retailer usually EXCLUDES installation and electrical point. If assuming you have the points, the standard per item installation is about $35-$45. Ceiling fans the installer need to know how to balance the fan properly else there will be problem. Also, if ceiling fans without lights and the light is nearby, the lights that is 'behind' the fan may cast 'shaking' shadow.

I actually do most of the installation myself, except for those heavy items I feel I may not be able to do it alone. For example, there is this glass cabinet I bought from them I could not even carry down to put on the trolley myself, that is the sign for them to fix...heehee....They are quite pro and quite fast in fixing up and they don't refer to instruction like us, guess they are quite pro liao...I see them using mostly screws that come with the package. I did fix all the billy bookcases single-handedly but that was 10 years ago when I was younger, slimmer, and stronger. If you are fixing yourself, I suggest getting an electric screwdriver (of decent standard one), as it will save you a lot of time. But you do need to use the screwdrivers/alley keys for the final tightening. And remember not to over tighten it. Also recommended that every half a year to one year to tighten those screws again.

Hmm...good idea...the next time I saw one of these vans, I must take down their license plate number.

Of coz cannot anyhow hack, but the contractor you intend to hire will get approval from HDB and also adjust which area can hack which area cannot. The whole building won't fall becoz you hack your door frame to be square lah, else we will have many buildings falling everyday.

I prefer the N81 model over the M81 model. M81 has richer colors but I don't like the glass like panel than gives reflection. But this is just a personal preference as I know many will choose M81 over N81. Hoping IT show the N81 model got some good deal. The built-in digital TV tuner does not make the program look better. The program must be in HD format. I am not sure about it's compatibility with HD5 channel and I don't think it's compatible with Starhub's HD channel either. Correct me if I am wrong.

Also aiming for a LCD leh...hopefully Full HD.

Got 2 model, one is smaller intend to put in common and the other looks more pro so put it in the master. $165 and $185. Installation if you have heater point (switch) is $35 each. The more expensive one he say is just came in one. Both got digital number to indicate the temperature. Very simple temperature control w/ on/off knob only. Heating element is from UK. Got 8 years warranty. Actually went there to buy ceiling fan and lights coz my friend say have been getting from them for years liao than saw the heater. Didn't want to drag on the search so just decided on the spot since the salesperson seen quite nice.
