I'm totally new to taobao. Maybe u can briefly guide me. Is there a english version of the website? It is full of chinese and I'm quite poor in Chinese. I believe you also need a 3rd party agent to help u ship parts to Singapore. How does it work? Like hopshopgo? What is Daigou? Can you give the link to the Philips downlights? Me interested.

Daigou is in English, so it is really easy to use. The slightly more difficult part is how to search for exactly the things you want. For me, I was looking for the philip downlights (those commonly found in local lighting.com shop), so just needed to key in "Philips" in taobao and start search from there. I bought close to 40 Philips downlights for my new place, spent $1k and saved $ 800 （40%+ saving) so was really worth the effort. Afterall these philips lights are all made in china shenzhen, so can imagine how much you can save.

Also bought from them some iPad covers as well.

I always ship direct from VS to SG because sometimes the merchandise are pack in big box and VS charge based on the amount you spend rather than volumetric. When they got SALE like $75 off $250 spent, it is actually FOC shipping. But I never try to buy using Vpost or Comgateway, too complicated for me already.
