haha good that he remembers you in a more special way! I hope he will personally handle yours. Yes I think we have to get him a PDA of sorts mm

MmM Mine wasn't sealed at first too.. then Uncle sealed for us, then he told us that normally people nowadays ask them not to seal (in case they want to change)

Remember to bring the samples that you got when you were selecting... Match them with the tiles delivered, then paste masking tape on the samples with the chinese words for where they belong ok? Like 厨房地 外面厕所地 墙 etc. hehe are guppies very hard to rear? I dunno cos I didn't have... I used to have Beta last time though.. mm

CONGRATS!!!!!!!

Kewin... mmMmM technically it's an offense for homeowners to engage someone who does not have a license.. so maybe you shouldn't say so loudly...
-
They'll probably bring in the sand and tiles next. Your guppies are so cute!

haha thanks thanks.. it's nice to design and plan for your own home.. then there's some satisfaction right? I like how you've planned your WIW to go into the bath like that... And having your MBR in the room behind is better... Putting all the bedrooms together. Great planning. My kitchen? it's normal for now.. going to do a nice dining in it soon

YAY looking forward!

mmm Seems like you'll be going with Joseph. I think having someone to take over the project is a big deal and Uncle will pick people carefully ba. And like he assures you, he is one phonecall away also... But you must be sure you're comfortable with Joseph ba.

1) Is it wrong to casual talk with the contractor's worker? (they will kapo and ask me how much I buy the house.) We talked a little but rarely about other stuff. I mainly chitchat with my contractor and his brother. But I also joined in when they buy 4D with my flat number. 2) Does your contractor workers leave down telephone number on the wall. If yes, how will you response? Leave down whose phone number? 3) Does your contractor workers ever ask from you money during the casual talk? Nope. never. 4) Does your contractor asked from you the last payment immediately after handing over the house to you? MmMm He came about 2-3 weeks after we moved in. Just before CNY. 5) Does your contractor ask you to install toilet bowl first? I saw a lot of member install last? Ours was installed about 2 weeks into the reno... right in the middle. And I didn't see a lot of members installing last. 6) Does your contractor tell you, he cannot get workers on site because of other works? That's possible though. Lots of contractors have limited workers for many worksites. 7) How long does your house take to paint? (My house 2 weeks, blamed me on my selection paint instead of his manpower) This one... 3 days. 4 coats of paint. 8) Does your contractor keep dragging and telling you his workers cannot make it and suddenly paused your renovation for 2-3 days. (Properly he run out of cash and never paid his workers and gives all sort of excuses to cover himself) That last part is your guess? Cos you said Probably he run out... Unless you know that for truth I don't think you should mention that. MMMm I had 1-2 days without any workers in my house although my reno had to be rushed. But my contractor pulled them in once the other house was ready. And he still made it in time.. so that was the most impt thing to us. 9) Have your Contractor tell you his worker run away to Malaysia and never return his deposit and delayed the Carpentary Works? How would you response? He has never... and if anyone ever tells me that I'll tell him that it's not my problem to solve but his. 10) Have your Contractor ever tell you, nevermind it is alright to get work permit licence (HDB Licence) issue from his friends? .... No comments ..... 11) Have your Contractor ever tell you his workers is not available for certain installation so have to delayed? But why can't he start other works instead? Although it's possible that some things have to done in a certain order but it's also true that he can start on other works which do not depend on the delayed one.

LOL your house still hacking then your decals come liao.. lol You're all prepared to move in
-
whahahah still must come in some time ma. But I go to bed at 10 la... too tired.
-
ahhh Good for you!! ya putting the meter outside is better for you. Yes it was a false alarm.. hehehe But it does show that it's easy for someone to just try to bluff their way through like that. Dunno why the workers say that we went overseas though.
-
How do you feel about this new guy?
-
mm I've been to your blog before! You're the one managing your reno alone while your wife's away is it?... I know who your ID is already. And to think... he dare not come into the forum and comment anymore now... what a coward. *angry*
-
ah? no la it won't. Ah Soon was here very late last night to inspect but it was so late he didn't tell us. He thought that only the electricals needed to be moved... but he told his men to check out the water pipes... they came without informing him nor us cos they thought that the pipes are outside anyway. According to the workers the pipes also need to be moved but it's a couple of hours work so no biggie. Not too concern about the reno process. I'm more concerned about getting this approval thing done quickly... mm
-
AIYAH... it was really Ah Soon's MEN! haha I just called Ah Soon and he told me that he didn't know that the men were here to inspect and because his phone was down in the afternoon, they couldn't get him and couldn't get us too... So they told the neighbour that the pipes needed to be done and not that the pipes had to be done TODAY... but I guess there was some miscommunication there.. But it's kinda scary to think how easily one can be scammed isn't it... So glad that it's nothing. Luckily, Ah Soon went to check for me. mmm
-
YA! I think they just went around to all those houses that haven't gotten their recess areas and just knock on the neighbours' doors. What nonsense leh! YESSS I jumped when she came over and told us just now... and I explained to her that we really happen to be buying the recess but it has not been approved. And after it is... the people who shift the pipes will be govt people and that we will be at home when it's happening. So scary...

Mimi.. 17ft is not very long... 17ft is only about 5m. Mine is already 21ft whilst I do bottom only. I think yours is really 17ft top and 17ft bottom. I find the quote slightly on the high side and some things very confusing...

hahaha ponytail your description is so funny. Anyway risis... making a simple wave/curve platform really shouldn't be too much of a problem.
