Floor Tiles - glossy/matted We were considered lucky as we have many friends/relatives who gave us lots of reno tips. Floor tiles is one of the best tips we got. We were advised against GLOSSY tiles(homogenous) - they may look nice but even single peck of dust/stain is very obvious, even foot prints, cracks will be very obvious too(in case you drop something hard) ..etc. expect lots of hectic cleaning unless you have a maid. Till today we didnt regret getting matted ones. We were also told to choose grey/greyish colours - 1) you can match any type of colour(furniture) with grey floor tiles and it still looks great. 2) dirt/stains again - aint obvious against grey colour - same logic as a silver coloured car, they never look dusty. 3) grey colour tends to hide cracks too. We chosed light grey homo matted tiles. so far easy cleaning - they dont get dirty easily.

if dont like the design - can only change new ones - $200+ each. if you dont like the colour/tone - can revarnish/repaint them around $50-$100 each.

whatever tiles... do think of HOW MANY YEARs do you intend to stay in that house. 10 yrs or more - then invest in marble or granite.
-
this spray wont damage your furniture but the sunlight will decolourize your rosewood.

besides the cd shop -
there is one way to neutralise this - but dont you think it's kinda crazy to wear a green apron whenever you are cooking/washing dishes? shift either one away or expect lots of quarrels.

they have more than 100 yrs in this trade - no joke. just normal wiping will do, no special wiping...i mean the normal way of wiping wood? wipe accordingly to the LINEs(grain).

whatever you do is nothing against the law - as long as before 1030pm. nobody can do a thing to you. even if she call police, what law have you flout? to me she is just super DUMB. -
cantona already gave you the answer. You can choose NOT to believe him but do so after you have read all the horror stories in renotalk first. ..... salesmen who can promise you the MOON but after taking their share of commission, NOT their problem any more. your tiles cracked or your paint not right or your door slanted....you can only go to Waterloo st - Guanyin Temple and pray hard...

if you use only the remote to switch off - meaning your TV is still on standby mode. although there is international consensus among electrical app manufacturers - that standby mode should not consume more than 3w but not all of them stand by this rule. PUB charge you 1000w per hour for $0.21, lets say you sleep 8 hours, work 8 hours, 2 hours transport then watch TV for 6 hours. 18 hours on standby 3w divide by 1000 = 0.003 Kw 0.003 kw x 18 hours = 0.054kw 0.054kw x $0.21 = $0.01134 per day or $0.34 per mth or $4.10 per year. the above is IF your TV manufacturer goes by the book of 3w on standby. some is as high as 7w-10w! Switch off the TV, then go switch off the wall socket.

i think this auntie is DUMB... without understanding the fact that "upstairs" can do 1001 things to torture "downstairs" but "downstair" cant even do a single thing to take revenge. for my case, my KLK neighbour upstairs always drag their furniture even after midnight... i cant do a **** thing...cos if they got pissed off, they can give me HHEELLLL. -

-
unit layout is the same but not the way each houseowner plans their kitchen layout. why dont you pop into your neighbours' house and see their kitchen?
-
