His birthday was the day before our "Move-in" ceremony. So we ate lunch together, after which he went to our new place to supervise the work and final cleaning and such. I went and bought a cake, go back to continue with the packing and such. I was so worried that he would come back after midnight, cos at 9pm, I called, he was still at the house doing work, fixing up the lights, etc. But luckily he came back around 11pm, took a shower and then......I brought out the cake and we celebrate for the last time in the old place Overall it was good cos we are so busy with the new house and stuff, that I tot he had tot I've forgotten abt his birthday, which I didn't. But next year, it will be at our new place, then I could fix dinner for him

In my case, my wall is like L shape, with the depthness extend below the window (those space beneath the window), and this is my sink area. Their support is only 1 size, thus unable to support it. So change of design, going for the traditional-type. At least, I get more space.

Inner flame.... if u see most hob, the burner is located on top of the glass/steel. For the inner burner/flame, the burner is act. located below the glass surface, so that the flame will be more concentrate at a spot, less likely to be blown out by wind cos "protected", and therefore faster cooking time. I know but the feature is not available with this model. I also wanted safety valve cos I'm also forgetful and I also want to do other stuffs, while cooking to better manage my time with all my tasks.

Inner flame, there are a few brands using. But if anyone happens to find 1 with safety valve, please let me know. Currently, I'm using Fuijoh, but the sad thing, it is without the safety valve. The model which I wanted originally has this feature.

From straittime forum: I REFER to the recent report in The Straits Times and reader Pang Wan Hong's letter ('Darker windows poser for LTA'; ST, July 25) regarding the problem faced by Singapore cars with rear windows and windscreens tinted darker than Malaysian cars. Drivers may be fined RM300 (S$129) or be turned back when a new law proposed by Malaysia's Road Transport Department is passed. The international rule governing vehicles, particularly among Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Thailand, is that if their design and modifications meet specifications in their country of origin, they should be allowed to travel into a neighbouring country without breaking the rules of the host country, even though such design and modifications may differ. For example, for decades Malaysian cars and motorcycles entering Singapore have not been prosecuted by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) or Traffic Police, even though their registration number plates are smaller than the standard sizes on Singapore cars and motorcycles as determined by LTA rules. The smaller number plates are a security threat as, in a robbery or snatch theft, the robber's car or motorcycle number plate is harder to see and identify at a distance. The Singapore Ministry of Transport should take up the matter with its Malaysian counterpart not to prosecute Singapore cars with rear windows and windscreens with 75 per cent tint, even though its rule is not more than 50 per cent. It is by the same token that the LTA does not prosecute Malaysian cars and motorcycles with number plates that are smaller than Singapore standards.

I'm thinking if the id doesn't take initiative to do the "extra" solid top, then your kitchen will be odd, cos there will be an area which is "open". Since in contract, you are given xx ft of solid top, but in reality, you are given yy ft lor. Just do the sum and see if the added cost justify it. I think the id does a good job in this sense but he may want to inform you about it before proceeding (or maybe he has a schedule to meet....)
