  1. Hi, I am looking for a blackout curtain those roller blind types for my aircon ledge...any recommendations? I would like to get something white and easy to install DIY...something that will be anti-mould too...
  2. Hi, Just posted my RED & BLACK kitchen cabinet pics on my blog! Welcome!
  3. Hey dracula... Thanks for the compliment! We are quite happy at how the kitchen turn out too...hehe... Well, if you have a contractor they should know what it is! It is still classified as laminate...just that there are different types like matt laminate, glossy laminate and now also motif ones...they should have a sample stack for customers to chose from (provided from the laminate company they endorse)... Think if i don't remember wrongly a very popular brand is called lamitak or something...
  4. Hmm...think we spent about $500 for the whole house...hehe...by buying ikea ones and customising ourselves...hee...
  5. Wow yokine...your kitchen is going to look bright and cheery! Maybe ask your ID to draw a projected picture of the kitchen so that you can see how it may look? I think orange is very nice with grey...hee...but too bad your FH don't like...
  6. Hi dracula, Here it is...just posted it at my blog!

  9. Ermm....do you mean your backdrop is made of laminate and you wish to find those with glossy motif designs? My kitchen cabinets are made of motif laminate...those that look like wallpaper style... dunno if that is what you are looking for...
  10. Hi, Frankly both of us like homecooked food cos' we don't put msg during cooking...but due to busy schedules on weekdays we usually don't cook but eat at my mum's...hee...cos' we stay same block too convenient liao...haha... I quite like cooking but only when got time lor...cos' imagine the preparation+cooking+washing+eating about 2-3 hours liao...then I don't have much time left to do other things...like never-ending laundry (remember we have another thread on this? hahaha)...and of course no time to log on too!!
  11. Hi gals.. No quality sleep = Dark circles that will never heal!! Hehe... Just to share some DIY tips on how to have a good night's rest...
  12. Hi, I have taken budget a few times, think they are quite ok for the price you pay (sometimes with promotion, it gets really cheap). Tiger I took to BKK and Macau before. Buying drinks & food is not a problem for me cos' I don't mind not eating for short haul trips. Leg space still sufficient for me cos' I petite size..haha. But I don't like the no seating arrangment thingy cos' being Singaporeans...everybody rush to queue once the "boarding" sign flashes...I think it is quite traumatic having to sprint for a nice seat! Jetstar the difference is they have arranged seating so I don't need to go through the hassle of making a dash to the plane for a nice seat...and I like dat... Last time took Valuair to BKK before too...quite good experience. Overall...I think the professionalism of the pilots and air crew is still acceptable. The landing part was as smooth as a bigger plane like SQ and that is what matters to me most...(can never compare with the terrible landing experience I had on domestic flights in china!) I will still take budget airlines for short haul flights....the money saved can go to shopping and eating at my holiday destination!! Haha.
  13. Hmm..I think my platform laminate is the same as what they installed in all my 3 bedrooms leh...just that there is plywood support beneath...I saw the workers fixing it from scratch...quite remarkable cos' so stable and can withstand weight....
  14. Wah ladyluck actual day you still have time for PS...hee..we were like running so short of time cos' we had to check in the hotel at 3pm..hehe...
  15. Hi babytan...about $780 when I was doing my reno last year...
  16. Hey ladyluck... Hehe..me no pro la...i tot it would be useful cos' i was looking high and low for a list like dat last yr when i was researching for my own photoshoot...but i know there are still many more venues yet to be shared...hope to see more contributions and ideas here...
  17. hi ladyluck.. its really up to you lor...for us hubby was there since the start of the reception about 7pm...i was in the bridal suite having my makeup...i went down about 10 minutes before the they close the doors for 1st march-in to just take a look...hee...i din't go into the ballroom though...stayed outside and said hi to those who just arrived... No hard and fast rules la! Up to you whether you want to mingle with your guests...some brides do show up only during 1st march-in because they want the "wow" effect when walking in...hehee..

  22. U mean the ones I often see in Korean dramas where they come into the house, then the light comes on and when they leave the foyer, it goes off by sensor? I really like those leh...but too bad I don't have a foyer... Think they should sell in lighting shops... !!
  23. Hi bpheng... We got the basic one from HDB...as well as additional fire insurance from NTUC Income...the AIG promotion covers 5 years at one go while our NTUC policy is renewable yearly...it was less than $60 the last time I remember....
  24. Hi exige.. My mum has fully white kitchen laminate cabinets, top and bottom! It has been more than 5 yrs since moving in and she cooks quite often. So far, no probs leh...and she doesn't wipe them often...probably every half yr or so...everybody who comes to our house always comment that she maintain them very well...hee... !! If you see fingerprints or grease...just spray a little magicclean or what...then wipe off with a paper towel...very easy to maintain...!!
  25. Hi, I tried this catering b4 but it was at someone's party so I dunno how much it cost. The food is ok and the presentation is very nice! Personally, I like Neo Garden for the food too...
