Great congrats congrats :D

Yes i know the wait is unbearable hahahaha

Ha! Truely a long long wait!

Hopefully can expedite the 2nd Appt from 8 weeks to 5 weeks!

Sellers have already gotten a place, but unsure if they will be able to handover the keys earlier? :)

My ID is busy with 2 projects due for HO before X'mas, so will only meet him after that.

Better start doing homework liao! :P

u taking bank loan or hdb loan ? bank loan standard is 8 weeks and hdb loan is 6 weeks but if both parties agree with the early 2nd appt think should not be a problem bah :)

Hehe, I think it'll be good to start soon. There will be many people who will either rush to finish their reno b4 cny or start after cny. So it'll be good to 'chop' the ID/contractor that u want first, to avoid disappointment. :P

Moreover, ID/contractor and urself will take time off from reno related stuff to celebrate xmas, new year etc. So there's actually not much time to discuss and conceptualize your ideas/plans. :)

Yah yah. Like my case, my ID going on holiday from this Sat. :P

Ha.. Ha.... Can't stop smiling!

But it also means I need to start doing homework - quotes, furniture etc - I know nothing about renovation!

Btw, understand that Buyer will need to inspect the house prior 2nd appt with the Sellers.

What do we need to take note?

For me i did not even bother to go down to inspect as I hack everything away.

HDB should have already inspected the place for any illegal alterations done by your seller but you might wish to check it also else in future you will be the one answerable to HDB

also take note of some fixtures and stuff to make sure that it's still there when the sellers have moved out :D

do a small checklist yourself to do some checks :)

hmm.....not really sure cos it depends on what is agreed between you and the seller

but mainly fixtures like lightings and stuff, see if seller removed any of such after they HO to you cos by right all these are fixtures and not supposed to be removed.

some seller will take down a very nice lights like chandelier and replace a cheap light, by right they're not supposed to do that unless you're agreeable upon exercising the OTP. :)
