In case, we changed our mind later to move furniture around, buying a TV console off the rack seems make more sense than custom-made one which cost more.

After spending hours in the shopping mall, we have decided on this (nothing fanciful but simple design) for our Ivory sofa set and black coffee table.

My apologies, the image is blurry. A walk-in toilet. Built-in oven and microwave oven will be placed on the left-hand side on the shelves. Right-hand side will be some pull-out storage (e.g. tomatoes, potatoes etc). Top cabinets for more storage of items.

Thanks, Makanology :-)

We didn't have any space planning beforehand and we started renovating our flat without a theme. Through months of renovation, we (contractor and us) have lots of discussions on how we can create more storage space for our small kitchen. I have to applause my contractor for being so patience and he has indeed come up with a few good ideas which we never thought it would work.

There will be minor works even after our move but these are acceptable.

Met up with the curtain/blinds guy. He took measurement of all the windows and recommended blinds instead of curtains to us according to our needs and requirements. He is fully aware that we are moving into the flat on May 10th and even if he try to rush the worker to make these blinds, it will take 8-9 days to complete 9 sets.

This evening, we decided to go to the flat to inspect on the progress of the carpentry works as we were quite disappointed on our last visit on Sunday that the laminate doors/drawers and the cabinets are not up.

When we arrived, it was almost 6:30pm and was surprised that there are 3 men working.

Here are some shots we took and quite happy that they have cleaned up the floors and also done 70% of the carpentry works but still there are glass works that need to be done before home appliances can be installed.

Common toilet on 1st floor (didn't turn on the light). Didn't take the other side of the wall where shower head is installed because the worker is fixing some stuff up.

Bathroom in Master bedroom. Might request the contractor to move the washbasin slightly to the right-hand side so that is not too close to the toilet bowl.

Due to budget constraint, we did not do up the guest's room. However, we will acquire some off the shelves furniture to furnish that room over the next couple of months since we do not normally have guest who will stay overnight.

Acid wash has been done and sofa set will be delivered in late afternoon today. Some glass works in the living area, MBR bathroom and kitchen will be installed today or tomorrow. The rest of the carpentry works in the kitchen should be up latest by tomorrow.

Our packing is 75% completed.

According to my contractor, there will be minor touch-up and installation of the breakfast counter top will only be done after we've move-in which we feel it's not a drama and we can live without the breakfast top temporarily.
