My old tiles are still there.. but they are all the way to the ceiling. My contractor cement screeded over the tiles and painted them like walls. Then placed the SS plate over. He ever suggested have half-tiled walls but I don't like having the grooves inbetween the tiles so I went for walls.

mm If this is from the contractor you PM me about... I didn't do False ceiling, TV console and the iron grilles and glass door. BUt I replaced the tiles in the entire house which alr came up to 7k+ (hack + tile) and my total was the same as yours.. about $24k liddat (from her la) mmm when she quotes me the cabinet and solid surface was the same... then I managed to squeeze a little more from her then press it down to about $175 for cabinet and $90 for solid surface... WHICH is still more expensive compared to my final contractor. I've seen... Kitchen Cabinet about $100-$120 is ok.. normal... and $70 for solid surface is usu the cheaper one... different range different price. mmm But you must see in terms of the other items also.... if her cabinets more ex.. maybe other things cheaper?

heh ya 4 for that price still ok la. happy enough. They are quite special also. The panel curtain I want looks like this... I'll need 3 of this and 2 of the solid white ones...as for the location.... Can you see ... close to the centre of the picture, behind my sofa.. there is a cardboard. Currently that cardboard is separating my dad's study area and my bunny's home. 1) I thought that it wasn't nice to have my dad directly beside my bunny while he is doing his work. so I want something to separate them. 2) as you can see from the picture, it can be quite hot in that corner. With the panel curtain it can reduce some sunlight going into the are so that it's not so hot for my bunny. 3) It's not so nice seeing my bunny's pink cage from the door... so we thought of having the panels to make a small room for her. Initially we wanted to put screens.. but screens tend to be opaque and shield off quite a bit in the living room... and might make the room smaller... on top of that screens can be expensive... these panel curtains are cheaper.

WAH I emailed Ikea over the panel curtains and they were quite efficient. They called me today regarding the items arriving this week... The best part is... there will only be 36 pieces arriving at Ikea Tampines. 36 PIECES?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! urgh.

whoa but after 3 months of thinking then I think you have to get it. I would if I were you. 3 months is a really long time to hanker after something. haha YES I think so too.......... *madness*
