Technically contractor is suppose to inform. But I did also. I bought some chocolates and gave to my neighbours (upstairs, nextdoor and below) 2 days before the hacking started. No one likes to put up with the noise and dust and I always believe in starting right. Then when I moved in they were all very nice and even gave us some free goodies for CNY. My immediate neighbour apparently sells chicken rice (quite famous one) and promised to bring some for us soon. Always pays to be neighbourly.

Wah I agree with gregy. it does seem very rigid. I managed to get so many FOC things from my contractor that I practically took things for granted... mm mm think if you try to ask for anything FOC now it wun be FOC...

Sigh... My dad's table is finally here. But now we have another problem. His study corner is right next to where my bunny is and we want to enclose his area without dividing too much space. I need two screens/dividers which can "cover" bunny without making the place look small... sigh.

Welcome!! Congrats on your new house! Very spacious and nice! With a recess area somemore.. My friend's 15 month old child sleeps alone and has been since his first birthday. They trained him to get up and down the bed himself. It's worth a try but I personally find it a little scary though. Why not let them sleep together a while more before they separate...

Just have to be realistic about the things you want and balance that with your budget ba. Initial quotes will always be higher cos contractors also want to leave some leeway for bargaining...

mm it's legal as long as you report your actual purchase price. It's illegal if you buy below valuation but report at valuation and get cash back from the seller. Everything else should be the same ah.. mm

ahhh I guess if you have a spare bedroom then having the study inside will be good... I always think that putting less things in the living makes it a lot more spacious.
