Mine took 2 very very long months!!!! lol I applied online, they replied in 2 months As mine was a bank loan, I had to call my lawyers up to ask them to take back the mortgage from the bank to redraft. While my lawyers are doing that, my contractor had to come to my place with floorplans and indicate on the floorplan where they are going to shift the electrical meter and water meter to. All floorplans and the letter from lawyer must be submitted. Then they issued a letter to let my contractor go ahead and move the meters (which they did today!) and then the technical officer will come down to take photographs of how it looks like. If ok, then she will submit the photos + letter all for processing... For CPF to release funds to buy the area. Processing will take about 2 weeks I believe. Then we will sign the new mortgage with HDB and the bank... Then the place is ours. then starts renovation Part 2!

WAH progress!! And I tot yours will be next week!! .... eh. I think ah.. as long as they are still tiling you can ask them to make the kerb one!! ERRRRR I saw Uncle's men mixing colour to get the grey grout they put in my MBR toilet leh. They use the White grout and they put in something to change its colour.... I have seen coloured grout before (cos I do tiling for art pieces) but those are extremely expensive...

Alamak I missed out on this post. Delayed reply.... lol If the previous owner has already purchased the access balcony, the new buyer will buy the house with the access balcony. Which means when the valuers come they will take into account the access balcony and increase the valuation a little. The access is now considered part of the house permanently. What happens when you buy the access is that they tear up the old mortgage and rewrite a new one completely, adding in that extra space. Which means my house, originally at 122sqm, will now be 129 (or is 130) and will be advertised and valued at that new area.

YAY the electrician was here. There were 4 workers plus the boss!! And I thought it was an easy job that didn't require much work!!! They took 3 hours! I was so embarrassed when they appeared cos there wasn't any drinks in the house! I stayed behind to watch them whilst my mom went to buy.... So now my water and electrical meters are moved. I've emailed my technical officer so that she can come and inspect that they were moved according to the plan submitted then she has to take photographs... then bill us for the moving... then she will process the application to purchase the recess! YAY

mm ya. Although it's a little disappointing to hear when some of our dream things cannot be done or not feasible structurally but I think it's much better to be a little disappointed now than to be VERY upset later when the thing collapses or what.

wahah Reiki... not really. I think there are times when I blow my top and become all over-righteous and all. That's when I start being un-nice. Not particularly mean but un-nice. I do try my best to be "diplomatic" it's part of my job to be. haha mmm gaku was recommending a modelling software called 3DS Max, which he said that IDs do use. I managed to get a friend to find it for me. Buying it online is ULTRA expensive. So I'm waiting for this friend to travel back to SG before I can start experimenting with it. Hopefully it will not be too difficult to learn.

So cute!! I think... it's good for kids to make it a habit and to train from young for them to take charge of little things around the house. Then when they grow older they will continue with this habit. Otherwise they might just turn into lazy bums like my brother who doesn't even clear his own plate... haiz. train train train!

mmm train your kids to help you with sweeping the second floor? Sweeping isn't so difficult I guess and you're right about the taxing part. mmm you're right about getting the part time helper.

YA I magic clean TWICE a day because my hair makes the whole house (all white tiles) look so dirty!!! mm the grouting hor... mm brown tiles with white grout a little odd looking, don't you think? But then... it's not easy to mix the same brown grouting throughout the house... you may end up with uneven patches.

hahha Wah fannie, people offer to clean your house... not bad leh. I think for EM's the hardest place to clean is that ceiling portion above the stairs... previously mine had all the cobwebs one. very pek chek. Other than that... the extra toilet also a bit sian to clean... But then... it's great to live in. hehe
