Hi all RT forumers, I will be getting my new flat soon. The bedroom door is at the side so i am going to cover up the door opening and hack a new door opening on the middle instead cos that room will be a WIW with hubby's wardrobe on the left and mine on the right. Can anyone advise me roughly on the cost of covering up the door (with bricks and cement. Need to plaster or wallproof?) and hack new opening in the middle? Btw, I am goin to have a all glass MBR toilet, directly opp the WIW. Anyone know how much to hack the 2 toilet walls (1 small,1 big) next to the toilet door? Is it ok to hack the toilet wall tiles cos mine is a 4rm standard flat and it comes with wall tiles? I know that floor tiles cannot be hack till 5 years later cos HDB dont want us to affect the waterproof membrane, but how about wall tiiles? I think the wall will have concealed wiring for the toilet switch too since its next to the toilet door, how huh? million ,millions tks

Hi again, if your trunking in your rooms run inside your false ceiling, what if there is problem in the air con down the years? If they have to check for leak etc, does it mean have to hack the false ceiling? I am worried about this issue cos the trunking sure look ugly if not hidden in the false ceiling.

Hi lawry, pardon my ignorance, how come switches so ex $600!!?? Are these designer switches, flat panel silver switches. Cant imagine if i want to pay so much for the look..sigh...bigger pocket going to b burnt.. Anyone know if i can buy those slimmer silver switches at more affordable prices? Will it be cheaper to ask contractor to source? or better if i get it myself? Btw those clipsal switches all seem to come in 1 gang only, do they have like 2 or 3 gangs in 1 switch? Thanks a million

Cos i wanna do 2 pull-out drawers at each section for all the bottom and top cabinets will be all shelves instead, if all are charged separately, i cant imagine how much more they will cost? Hi for those who engage Ah Soon, He is not HDB licensed contractor right? will there be a problem? Does he apply permit or get the PE to approve b4 hacking any walls or top concrete wall panels? Or he never apply permit one?
