  1. wah what an insight into a project like yours! I didn't know even private property also have house shelter with that faceplate sticking out above. Looks impressive the works!
  2. I also having problem accessing RT today. I think its the server problem likely that why you having problem quoting and adding reply? Let's just say, I definitely don't want to be a full time hsewife at all! It's just that.. um going to be a killjoy staying at home everyday. Staying at home whole time is going to turn me cranky very soon Btw, bought your furniture yet? Thought you're going to check out the JB contact I passed you?
  3. Hello Yenming! You can put those hooks on your wardrobe side to hang bags also can. Baguana has nice hooks for hanging clothes, its in his t-blog. My wardrobe is smaller than yours.. I think its less than 6.5" 'cos the wall where we put ours is not long enough to have bigger wardrobe. Lucky my bedframe has storage drawers to put bedsheets and other things away
  4. Boiled egg is a no no for puppies and doggies.. it is a bit like having diahorrea or upset stomach. Human food is not suitable for dogs even though there are mongrels outside feeding on leftovers but doesn't mean its okay to feed them food meant for human 'cos dogs cannot take too oily or laden with salt. Bad for their bodies. About salmon, im not sure but since its boiled with no seasoning. It should not be a problem Chicken bones not good also. You can try pork rib meat minus the bones which is boiled w/o seasoning and feed it to your puppy. Puppy dried food is sometimes mixed with milk formulated for puppies. You can check with any pet shops selling food stocks for animals.
  5. Hmm, i think the size is another thing but whether it serves its purpose of providing some comfort well then good. If your ID thinks its too big for the room, got to consider the movement of the blades in the room okay or not & whether it can be balanced properly is another thing. My family home got a small ceiling fan but it packs a power punch in airing the place more than enough for the living room. Its one of those remote controlled fan.
  6. Babytan, I am sooo bored staying home you know, all I do is sleep, eat, do occasional chores, watch anime besides looking for jobs just to pass time...even thinking of what to cook for dinner every night is also sian since need to make sure it won't get boring eating same food all over again given my limited ability to cook much So everyday im praying i get a job soon then won't find it too boring compared to staying home.
  7. Im not sure about the tones for the toilets by HDB cos my mbr toilet comes with the original tiles as I never hack it. No budget for it. The toilet is in blue colour but in slightly different shade, for eg top half is in light blue, middle is a border while the bottom half is medium blue. So its still blue colour (1 colour) all the same. Likewise for my common toilet which was hacked and retiled by HDB contractors due to hollowness. Didn't have the original blue colour as no stock. Instead we got grey colour. Again, the pattern is the same for top half, middle & bottom but still grey colour all the same that why. Thats why, looking at the common toilet, the colours are different, not in the same colour tone. (You know HDB no colour sense so only choose 1 colour tonality for everything) even if not enough stock for the original colour, they will change to other colour as was in the case for my kitchen
  8. Ya not sleeping since I dun need to work now. Temporary hsewife at the moment. Didn't know that wrought aluminium gate design can even come in animal shape. Looks like your reno 90% done. Your toilet so nice + you got a kitchen island~!! I want also but sad to say no space to put also.
  9. Wah nice nice~! The 3rd pic is a kitchen island? Btw, the grill gate is that a pig there?
  10. Maybe you can ask Mace for advice? Anyway your abrasion is not so bad, but how is your ankle now? Anyway dun be super pai seh, I am even more jialat cos Im very accident prone & a terrible klutz somehow.
  11. I was thinking it might be better to have a glass partition to partition off the area beside the restroom so that can put an L-Shape wardrobe. No worries just giving some suggestions. I think women are the only ones die die must have BIGGER wardrobe for many many clothes even im no exception.
  12. Paiseh Paiseh, just looked again at the photos and see got windows 'cos your floor plan not so clear see if its casement or sliding windows for your rooms. Think my eyes got stamp also. Anyway you did mention that the restroom in your MBR eat into space, but I suppose that could be done if you created a partial room for an L Shape wardrobe within. Would have enough for a dresser I suppose but not sure for the actual space in person? The orange toilet tiles is the one LLhome used for her common toilet. Saw it before at her home.
  13. Seems your mum's particular about food. So long as your mum's diet is watched carefully, it shouldn't be a problem right?
  14. Are common toilets in sengkang flats 2 different colour tone tiles? I thought would have to be matching in similar tone colour if its divided btwn borderline tiles?
  15. Other than the rod, track types, some people choose to have roman blinds or roller binds. Sometimes there is the occasional preference for shutters too. Its a matter of preference for you. You can opt to do box up of the pipes but the disadvantage of boxing up pipes is that you will spend more to break apart the box up should the pipe be damaged and requires immediate repair. That's one factor why I didn't do box up of the pipes for my toilets. For HDB requirement, why don't you do a direct check with HDB over the box up pipe?
  16. You can use any source of photo uploading as long as you copy the url link of your uploaded photo from that source & paste into here For eg, there is imageshack, photobucket and etc.
  17. At least I can slack at home than at work. Drink more coffee/tea to stay awake la. Scary if you get caught napping away in office
  18. White bread maybe not. But wholemeal bread would be fine right since it contains oat grains?
  19. That's one downside of having a glass table.
  20. Apple jie. can normal glass be bent also? However are scratches or almost cracks that visible on tempered glass?
  21. Hehehe I lub your oreo alot. very cute, can steal hearts already !! Ya bth both donut and summer the way they were going on at that. My hubby mentioned that we should have let the doggies alone the way they are 'cos of the male urge to dominate over other dogs, like being the head of a pack. And he mentioned that while the cupcakes look nice in terms of deco, the chocolate flavor is not nearly as nice as the ones I made before. He only ate 2 and a half cupcakes in this case. I think it must be that the batter was all liquid? My mum says the cupcakes look tempting and nice to eat when I showed her the cupcake pics. For me, I like the meringue buttercream. I will get fat eating too much of the buttercream at this rate.
  22. Hello ilmare612, no prob about that. Ya i know about Ikea's kitchen planning software. Tried that out before. But I think colour co-ordination and pricing are the main factors that plans the outlook of the kitchen cabinet with the colour of the kitchen walls. Yep I got the main bulk of my furniture & curtains from JB but from separate sources though. This curtain source is a relative's friend & the curtains were delivered to my place. There was no mention of the delivery charges in the total bill though, believe its 'cos of my relative probably. Ya it is cheaper to do in JB. Total cost is around 1k+ SGD (RM2.4k) for the following items:- Living room - Double tracks, 1 set of curtains & 1 lace curtain 1 set of String Curtains as divider btwn living & dining area Roller bind w/o blackout for study room Rollerbind with blackout for 3 bedrooms, including 1 side curtain with velcro stick-on for the small window ledge in the MBR
  23. Is your coffee table also very heavy???? I also have a glass coffee table but doubt its tempered one.. cos already got a few scratches appearing on the surfaces, almost like cracks. & quite heavy to move too. Acrylic would be probably cheaper, that I dunno but might not be nearly as nice as those glass table designs
