I don't think $8 to feed six adults budget meal like the one above is everyone's cup of tea..LOL

Why not? I think Tomyam seafood soup is the best thing to have, particularly on a rainy and gloomy evening. I would be very interested!

But I was surprised at how cheap mussels are! The HTB bought mussels from Cold Storage to steam them in white wine and garlic sauce and because they were so cheap, he ended up buying way too many. The wine cost so much more than the mussels - but then again, the wine brought us more joy than the mussels did so I guess that's fair pricing....

yea mussels are crazy cheap. I can't bring myself to order mussels and pay the crazy prices outside. As for wine...maybe you guys can consider purchasing from a wine supplier...that is what we do...we get our wines delivered to us...but then again...we drink a fair bit. LOL

Ya you have to change to Everything Possible, according to those thing you have done your price are very cheap.

The wine supplier i use actually only supplies to commercial restaurants unfortunately...it is just a old contact so i get to enjoy the perks...not complaining. $15 for a decent Italian red that retails for about $40 to $50 in restaurants. sometimes it is a hit and miss...but i have my usual brands that keep me happy.

Frankly, maybe consider joining NTUC wine club. Great deal and sometimes they have a decent drop

JT's Daily Update (1st Oct '13)

According to JT, apart from OpenNet, the other main item today was the fact that the tilers were all busy doing the bedding screed in preparation for tomorrow's laying of floor tiles

Here's a quick pic of the poor tiler in action:

Will be heading down to the unit after work today to check on the delivered items and to see the progress for ourselves. Yay!!

btw, love it that Marco is there on the list :)

I was about to ask why Nigella Lawson is on the list and does she deserves such a prominent space on the walll, and what about Donna Hay haha

you have to ask the HTB

he was very specific with the decal guy which names he wants in larger fonts

he seriously likes Nigella Lawson...

i personally am not too impressed with her but oh well, somebody is obviously into foodporn

Lol! I always think her recipes are mostly butter and cream to make it taste yum.

As long as no kylie kwong on the decal. That one is fish sauce extraordinaire.

honestly... i don't think the hubs watches Nigella Lawson for the recipes hahahahahaahhaa

oh and you're right - he hates kylie kwong. hahhahaa

have to ask him what he hates about KK - is it the accent, the clothes or her face in general

Haha if I am visually challenged and listening to Nigella cook show I will be full of images of how she looks and the food lol. Saw her cooking chinese soup noodles, looks really unappetising !
