5 Rm Resale Dream Home Project Strathmore

Recommended Posts

Cove Lightings Up.

We used T5 LED tubes to light up the cove instead of LED strips. Good decision by ID. I like the brightness and consistency it gives rather than the speckled effects the LED strips give.

LED Downlights from Avaric - Super nice huh!

Track lights up.

We decided to use E27 removable LED bulbs so that there is no need for replacing driver and all the stuff. If bulb spoil, just remove and replace the bulb.

Nice looks and Easy maintenance.

This is the general theme we applied throughout our reno in choosing items of our choice.

Be it the choosing of tiles for Kitchen, Bathroom, the Kompactplus or the lights or the carpentry. Hopefully we are able to realise the dream. :seeya:

Thanks thanks!

Another thing. What's the size of the toilet u bought? 6"? S trap?

I guess I already PM-ed you earlier :) .

In any case, the toilet bowl I bought was Baron W-888 for both toilets. The trap for Master is S-trap 6 inches. The trap for common is P-trap. Size is 5 1/2 inches.

Up, up, up.. Carpentry is Up..

Like I mentioned earlier, carpentry is a big piece of project for us. With the full wall length of 29 feet of carpentry in living, now can see the home coming to shape.

Here's the view of full wall carpentry in the living, very flush isn't it?

We have a nice space for Altar and Prayer.

:yeah: Notice the cute little triangle holes. These are to fit small bells. Because bell sound is auspicious and drive away evil.

I asked my ID to make the cute little triangle holes to fit small bells. Initially he was :bangwall:cannot make so small holes leh and I was :help:. Later when I explained he became :jawdrop:. Then reluctantly he agreed  . Now he is :yeah: .

Hi,

Do you have a picture of the cut pipe? Just did my aircon trunking and have this ugly pipe as well. Wondering what we can do to conceal it too. My ID suggest to build a kerb and run the pipe in the kerb and that sounds like an option too.

I never doubted the usefulness of Renotalk blog.

My belief was reinforced once again today.

Thanks to another Renotalker "Chococat" , I was able to identify out an issue with the aircon water pipe outlet in my common bathroom.

The aircon guy laid the pipe along the floor to the drain. I was not too comfortable with that pipe because it might attract mold and also difficult to clean. After reading the blog, I called up my ID and asked him to cut away the pipe above floor level.
