5 Rm Resale Dream Home Project Strathmore

Recommended Posts

We are almost there, in terms of completing our reno journey.. but few more pending works to go before I can say we are done.

31st Oct our storage lease is coming to an end. We need to move the stuff back in on 31st Oct. So we have asked our ID to complete and handover to us by Thursday.

Still some of the below tasks are yet to be completed:

1. Defective tile fixing at Kitchen

2. Doors Painting and touch-up

3. Lightings - finish all loose ends and complete everything

4. Carpentry - some cabinet door alignments and finishing

5. Cleaning and acid wash

6. Fixing accessories

7. Kompactplus installation.

Hope to get these things sorted out before Thursday.

Hi,

Do you have a picture of the cut pipe? Just did my aircon trunking and have this ugly pipe as well. Wondering what we can do to conceal it too. My ID suggest to build a kerb and run the pipe in the kerb and that sounds like an option too.

Nope. No luck. My ID says it's not advisable. He has advised to keep it.

I just made a visit to check out the progress. Could see the Electrician, Tiler and Painting working furiously to complete the pending tasks.

I noticed the dining lights have been installed.

Another view of the MBR vanity.

I super like the thin profile of edges created by my ID after my special request.

Many people dislike solid surface because it has thick edges. But my ID educated me that the thick surface is just a front overhang to protect the laminate below. I took the risk of not having the same. Hope it doesn't create long term issues.

Hectic, hectic, hectic.

Last few days before handover - so many loose ends to tie-up.

Man, this is sucking-up my energy.

Aircon

Lights

Plumber

Carpentry

Painter all at once.. Phew! :(

Does anybody have a thought on the cleaning of the unit by contractor before handover?

Well, after the cleaning was done last evening, there's more work that happened today. Again the unit is dirty!

My ID says he committed to only one round of cleaning. So I have to wield the broom and mop to clean-up. So much for nothing!

They usually do a chemical wash and general cleanup before hand over. Thorough detailed cleanup better to do it ourselves.

Binzz.. thank you for sharing the fact. We have now completed 3 cleaning sessions. Everytime someone comes in there is more dirt and dust.

Yes, end is in sight. Light at the end of tunnel..
