My bro and my study tables are from Ikea... my dad's and my sis are from V-hive. The V-hive ones are more sturdy and definitely look of better quality.. BUT the people gave us quite a bit of trouble. My dad's table only arrived 2 months after the initial delivery date. The Ikea table in the living room is already sinking in the middle... it was already like that after 3 months.

WAHHHH Very good price! The only EA my parents could accept.. was on the 2nd floor and they asked for 520k.. which was too much for us so we had to let go of that one. ehhhhh adrian.. honestly? It's possible for turpentine to hurt your laminates... esp the gloss ones. It's possible for it to leave the "hazy" patch you describe. However, it doesn't happen every instance. But I've seen it happen. It's likely that some shops dilute the turpentine so it doesn't happen every time. If you use strong ones on lower quality laminates i reckon the effect will be bad. I think a mix is fine... I think.. too shiny can cause a headache sometimes depending on the amount of light the place gets and the colour you choose. haha
