Charemme.. think it's not wrong... is that they want to scare the neighbours also. There was one low-rise flat I went to see when I was searching for my place... the one who owe money had TWO cctv cameras outside their flat.. so the runners were scared of going there... in the end the runners splashed ALL THE NEIGHBOURS and created trouble for all the neighbours except for the real borrowers. HORRIBLE.... Runners are only runners... mostly young boys. Even if catch one... the loanshark will send another one. haiz

hehe one more thing to share wor... SIGH... When I was doing reno, I did the sums, between putting hanging lights in the living and doing false ceiling... I now have 3 hanging lights there so it's 3 hanging lights VS false ceiling/cove + lights. The latter was more expensive by an estimated $200-$300. So I took the hanging lights... Then NOW I REGRET!!! cos my electricity bill is VERY expensive! My hanging lights use about 140 watts each time we turn on both and it's not even bright! And that's not including the third one... and current electricity bill is super ex. I reckon with well-planned false ceiling, etc... I can save about $20-$30 each month (after calculating)... So in less than a year I would have "earned" back that $200-$300 installation costs. More long term savings here. Very sian whenever I think of it.

However a complete rewiring involves yanking out all the wires from the ceiling and total relaying can cost up to 4k. A partial one where you change all the visible wires can cost 2-3k. Ah Soon will yank out some of the wires to test if they are still soft and sustainable to advise you. If the wires are brittle and easily broken, then it's time for a change

mm if you ask for quotes too early he will miss a lot a lot a lot a lot of appts with you wor. It's better to approach him closer to the date then he will respond more promptly. Younger .. big sized one? if so, he's good also. There's also a younger skinny one, hair slightly long. That one good but slow.
