But in the end settled on both matching black in colour. Paid $1480 for the item. So far, I have no issues and complaints about it. I would like to defend IKEA. The transportation is provided by an external logistics company. Charges are advertised on the big board clearly. That's why if anyone wants to buy big and bulky items, pls remember not to purchase them too early as you would have to bear in mind the tight delivery schedule that the logistics company provide (Poh Choon Logistics if I remember correctly). The savings are passed on to consumers as IKEA manufactures in bulk, and customers sell carry and install. However, there would definitely be additional charges incurred if we engage delivery and installation package. That's my personal opinion.

I also used Elite Movers for my shift back in Dec 08. I have no complaints about them. The guys were all Singaporeans and have no qualms about our special requests. Although price is slightly high, they do take extreme care of your delicate stuff and furniture. I even stored my stuff in their warehouse for a month prior to moving into my new home. The boss even personally came down to supervise his workers. Boxes are provided free of charge as long as you return them after the move. Cheers!

To be nearer to my children's schools and also my previous place don't have amenities like provision shop or coffee shops within walking distance. Anyway old unit is 110 sqm. New unit is 105 sqm. So at least by getting a 4A unit, they dun't feel so cramped if I have gotten a 4S or 4NG unit instead.

Welcome to Hougang! I just shifted here in Dec 08. Situation quite similar to yours. Sold my 5rm D&B Sengkang unit (110 sqm) and moved in to a 4A unit (105sqm). Downgrade in size but upgrade in price. Haha!

Get the seller to pay ur agent the fees since HE is the one cancelling the contract. On top of that. seek redress for compensation. Ask HIM what does he intend to do.

Just tell him that u need the proceeds from the sale of the flat before you can pay him the commission. Either he waits it or he don't, simple. You should have stated thus upfront.

Most of the 4A units should be 100 sqm or more. Ur unit in Jln Tenteram seems to be 3A based on 75 sqm instead judging from the description of 2 rooms knocked into one big bedroom. 3NG is about 67 to 69 sqm. Pls post pics of your newly acquired flat. Nevertheless, congrats.

Hougang 4A - 105 sqm

For my previous flat, I used a 6 gallon Rheem storage heater for both my bathrooms and wash basins. Took abt 10 mins to heat up and the hot water could stay warm for approx 8 - 10 hrs. Works well for me but I do not like the design of the heater as it looks bulky.
