My Bath Area Tampered Glass Looks Fragile..
yellow replied to bubblepearl's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
I think mine also quite fragile. I believe bubblepearl is trying to say that the other side will "tremble" when you shut the shower screen. When I climb up on a chair and take a peep at the glass support from the top, I realised the glass is only inserted a little bit into the support. Which means to say that the majority of the glass is supported by the silicon and NOT the metal support. How is yours like? Is it normal for mine? -
Ya, I think system 4 is only the way then....but I just got my system 3...arrgh... Another option is to get a air cooler. At least better then nothing..Came across one yesterday at IMM, ground floor, less than $300. sigh...still regretful of my decision not to install. Advice to all old flats owners, if you have yet to install air-con, please install system 4. Whether you use or not use, it's good to keep one in the living room, just in case! Ai yo, why weather so hot nowadays...now cannot sleep without the aircon every night. When I need to watch TV, I will watch in the room because of the air-con. My living room is becoming a white elephant now. Average daily time spend: Kitchen: 30% (to wash clothes, plates) Living rm: 10% (to walk in and out from main door to room & kitchen) Room: 60% (sleep, watch tv, fold clothes, unpacking etc..) Anyone like me?

I think it is important to share such $ information to avoid any suspicion thoughts. I don't want to be digging into his personal drawers to check how much he earn. Anyway, knowing how much he earns does'nt makes his money mine. correct?

corelle is super light. But when comes to microwave, the plate is so hot. Just remember to keep some heavy duty plates for heating up purpose....! WMF - wait for sale time....cheaper. As for plastic cutlery, I went to pasar malam... "one for one lollar"..."three for one lollar"....cheap

How Much Are You Willing To Pay For Kitchen Sink
yellow replied to applefreak's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Hi Applefreak, mine is also a blanco dunno which model. If you like it, just get it. Sink can last a long time so I think it's worth the investment. I got to admire my $399 sink everyday when I do my washing. The feeling is great! Dun regret the $$$...I regret not installing an air-con in my living room and everyday I kept thinking about it. haiz Wow, chunky monkey, you really dare to spend!! -
Thanks Waileong. I think i only got space for one compressor which is hung outside the window on a metal bracket. It's very old flat. So no space rite? sigh...really regret...check out the portable aircon but it's very ugly...

Do You Feel Like You're Always Doing Laundry?
yellow replied to chew@PPLe's topic in Wedding & Travel
I got the novita streamer. expensive but worth it. I hate ironing and it makes it worst for ladies clothings with frills, laces, silks etc... so this streamer helps. Bought it three years ago and still as good. Good on bermudas and jeans too for a quick fix! PS: actually I bought it for my hubby so that he can iron his own...hehehehhe wE do laundry every Thursdays and Sundays. No kids so dun really feel the load. -
my hubby and I also disclose on our salary, bonus etc.... But not on our savings. Maybe next time lah...anyway, i know he hardly saves...If your hubby saves, I think you as wives should be glad. All our expenses taken out from our joint "daily expenses" account. So no fuss on who pays what.

Hi, didn't know such things exist until I happen to see this thread. really suah gu. Thank you! If it's really good as it sounds, I think I may get one. I hate picking up my fallen hairs everyday! Will be going to Tampines Court this weekend to check it out. I got lost in between the thread. So which model is the reasonably the best? Red one is a no-no right?

big space you have...sure it will turn out nice. but of cos, first $$$$$. broken marble is nice,...at least no need to worry about the dirty groove in between the tiles.....enjoy your reno process!

PVC easily mouldy from inside....experiment, fill a plastic bottle and a steel bottle with water, leave one side and see the effect after many days... Mine is copper. Dun like steel partially because it will darken after some time and will be a mismatch with my shiny chrome fittings. And not easy to paint. As for copper, require painting and cheaper. Do you know there is something in the market apart from steel and copper? Its finishing is exactly like a chrome fittings. Very shiny. Dunno what it's exactly called. $$$ a bit. The person who sell my taps showed me and told me it will not rust, just need to wipe it to shine. Really nice. Too bad no money.

I got same situation as annpual. Just renovated my flat with 3 system. And now really regretted not getting system 4. Mine is a resale old flat. They said I cannot add one more compressor and air-con unit for my living room but need to replace the whole unit. Is that true? Does that mean, I have to hack my cornice too?

Last time, I dun even want to renovate my toilet. but glad I changed my mind just when my house renovation is about 80% done to do up my toilet. Now everyday, when I "enjoy" myself in my simple-renovated toilet, I will simply admire and tell myself, money well spent....it makes life in the toilet more enjoyable.

My hubby in IT line. And used to work super late everyday and weekends. My heart pain each time he said he tired. Lasted for about 1 yr plus in that place. Now he changed company which give him office hour work. heheh....Thank God for his new job and now we can spend more time together....whether it be quality time or bickering...at least I can see his face. Cannot trust men but I think we should trust our hubby and dad....if not,

Hi De_princess, got it at $298 at a warehouse in East. Delivery charge at $30 per trip. I also bought my shoes rack from them so delivery charge is reasonable to me. Let me go home and check where is the address.

My parents bought for me a Mistral standing fan with a remote control. Was complaining like mad initally cos I dun like standing fan. However, after using it, find it very good to use. It costs about $120 from BEST. It's black and light grey. I had Powerpac (low type) for all my other rooms. Super strong wind (their speed 1 is like others speed 3), just a bit noisy...but I like the breezy noise...

Plaster Kitchen Wall Tiles? Possible?
yellow replied to yellow's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Simple - My parents said I'm crazy. Then looking at the variety of tiles available, I think maybe it wouldn't look too bad after all. I still love my new wall tiles. Nevertheless, I think it would be fun to draw on painted walls... FSP, Nice kitchen you have there. -
Well, I think roller blinds are the best. You dun have to roll it all down. Just leave it half way through so that wind can still come in. Just enough to partially block his view. I do understand how you feel cos my opposite flat is very near too. Maybe he is just curious of his new neighbours that's all. After a while, he will be bored. Ignore him lah!

Hi, if your toilet door is near the window, then extend your curtain to cover the toilet door. My neighbour did it and it looks neat. Otherwise, just change the door to a nicer one. I think being accessibility is impt.
