Tls Ahblur.. $6k for electrical/lights !! I am waiting for my electrical quotes and hopefully not as ex.. How do they count the lighting points? Is number of lighting points = number of lights to buy..i.e 1 fluorescent tube = 1 lighting point..if so i will faint as i estimated i got about 40+ lighting points.. finger cross..

Was back at my place today to check on the reno. So farso good.., wet works about 90% done.. still have a few areas to touch up.. Next week, plastering and electrical work.. hopefully, the plumbing can also be completed by then.. Living & Dinng room.. Have decided to change to timber skirting instead of using the homo tile.. hope is the right decision.. Kitchen.. Wall and floor tiles also done.. Sorry picture quite dark as bad weather and got no light.. Outstanding is the washing machine and fridge base.. Toilet & Shower.. All done up except for the toilet bowl and fitting.. Let's hope that the ugly pipes will not be so outstanding after painting..Have also decided to build a seat in the shower.. can sit down and have a slow shower... The Rinnai Hob & Hoob as well as the sinks and taps have also been delivered.. also receievd the free gift from Rinnai.. one set of steamer pot... not suppose to have by PJ kind enough to give...not as nice as the cultery set given by Cuizano but will still be useful in the future..

I chose "A".. softer feel to the whole room and matches the wardrobe and wall.. more streamline.."B" too contrasting and and the colour is too loud..just my opnion.. the most important is that both of u feels comfortable with it..

hi stireberry.. yourlights all very nice..esp the chandelier.. the black cover adds a modern touch to it.. i think the bulbs not energy saving but the overall effects really great..

Allo.. we also think the design nicer for panasonic.. also decided on it as i believe the back-up and customer service may be better in case the heater got problem.. not sure if all the same but this one comes with 5 years warrenty..

Yes relex and enjoy the process..be more careful when checking the reno..except for the major works, no need to worry so much for child proofing as still got time.. those cupboard retrain can get from hardware shop eg 3M and DIY when required.. one of the major one u want to consider is window grills.. better to do now than later.. husband must sayang more also... haha..enjoy and be happy.. smile more and will have a happy baby....cheers

Hi all..just like to share my experience with spray painting of toilet..must qualify that it was done abt 3 years ago for my previous place toilet and maybe technology, material change now and as such, could be better.. My wife cannot tahan the colour of the wall tiles in previous main toilet as contractor make an error. Lived with it for almost 6 years as hacking again is too much of a hassel.. some 3 yrs back, a friend proposed spray painting as it was new in the market..was quite ex then but save the dust and time needed.. When the job started, the fumes and smell is toxic.. overall result..excellent.. but can will still see and feel the textule of the tile if rought surface..can rinse and wash but no rought scrubing.. however, must be prepared that some small protion may peel off at later stage.. mine about 2 yrs later.. got the contractor back to do patch work.. can be painful as they do not like to patch so need alot of chasing.. until it is repaired..must make such don't spray water around the area as the peeling off will worsen.. Spray painting is a good and cheaper option to hacking and relaying of tile but will need better care to prevent peeling.. good for wall and floor but not so sure about appliances as these are the one u want to scrub often..

unless your contractor work every day without delay, u can confirm your electrical and carpentry early.. carpentry will take at least 2 weeks for fabrication... electrical will take 1 to 2 days and still got painting.. I think some of the experts here can give u a better assessment.. but i think really tight..

No harm checking out a few more for comparison.. at least it will give you an idea on the various charges,, but have to confirm the material use, tiles rate etc for a fair comparision..
