OT a bit.

This happen to me too. But it is in the bus. An auntie carry bag and hold on the handle at the side on handle. Then she majiam like "soon bian" place her back on mine lap. Treat me leg like her shelf to place her bag. I mean come on la, bag can be put on her shoulder de leh. Then i tell her auntie you bag is resting on mine leg. She dont even bother.

This pissed me off. I wack her bag now and then make her bag swing and swing. She cannot ta han. Move further in.

Basically there are far more space to let her move to the back she dont want. !!

this happen to guy also. carry backpack to school or work. Knowing that his bag is big so before entering MRT he SHOULD take his bag on his hand so that he himself will be more relax and easy too. For me i also do the same use hand to carry mine bag before going into MRT. I dont understand why they dont even care for people surrounding them.

Hey I encounter the case of the auntie also. Was in the crowded train early in the morning sitting down, then this auntie came with a big plastic bag and very heavy too...how i know it's heavy? Cos she stood in front of me and started to rest her plastic bag on my lap...i tried shifting a bit to let her get the hint but she was oblivious...then i DL liao...I started to uncross my legs and make a big action...she noticed it then started to pull away....i mean, u come in your plastic bag so heavy then suddenly your bag so light, you won't suspect anything one meh?!? sheesh...but she didn't do it intentionally lah...but i was still pi ss ed

Ya also kena the big bag on bus too...those with super duper big backpacks....v inconsiderate cos when they turn they are sure to hit some ppl...

Not to mention those who treated the poles like they were their own!

Morning train so fast, cannot balance, want to grab poles but some ppl just like to lean on the poles and place their butt cracks in between the poles!! I am one of those who can't balance in high heels one...duno how other women did it..really pei fu them...so I need the poles!!

What I did was always to find an empty slot on the pole then hold on to it and use my sharp knuckles or fingers to poke at the person...they mostly will get the hint and shift away....if not, i poke harder

Fully agree! I get v pek chek if I c those ppl leaning against the pole as if they no backbones...

There was once I entered a SUPER packed train. Then there was tis long haired gal super irritating, leaning

against the pole, and when the train brakes and I really cannot balance myself...I simply grab her hair to balance lor....since she like to act as the pole...She scream in pain and turn n give me a stern lok. I

Ya and those who chiong into the train the moment the door opens, don't understand what the yellow lines on the floor are for. Ma chiam first to chiong in got prize like that.

There was once I was in the train sitting down then this woman came and stood in front of me, she then took out her nail clippers and started clipping her nails....wah lau @#$%! She nvr thought that her dirty nails might drop on my feet leh...basket! I glared at her and think she pai seh quickly put it away....so inconsiderate and unhygenic

got an unforgettable experience on the train

i was sitting down and going to orchard for classes from tpy

then i tink somewhere in between tpy and orchard, a grp of mango ppl boarded the train. i tink is 2 ladies and 2 guys. then 1 lady sat down beside me. she motioned to the other lady to sit beside her (there's only ONE empty seat beside me). the other lady came and SQUEEZE in between me and her fren.

come on lah! she thot she small kid meh?! her butt so fcuking small can squeeze in between 2 seats?! i **** pissed off. i stood up, hoping that she will realise what she had been doing. but NO loh!! after i stood up, she IMMEDIATELY sat on my seat!! i was mu deng kou dai!! got such idiots ard?? she can still sit down happily and giggling which i STOOD IN FRONT of her! i tink i drank too much plain water that day. coz apparently, she CANNOT SEE ME!!

all the other ppl on the train were looking at her. i glared at her throughout the whole journey. but yeah... i tink i'm transparent coz she doesnt feel anything at all!

Fifi...mabbe u too petite so she tort she still can squeeze in...

If I were u, I will lok at her and shake my head in disgust then continue diao her

found myself in a dilemma the other day

i had a seat and was minding my own business when a lady came walking into the train

my first reaction was to give my seat to her coz i thought she was pregnant

then suddenly it occurred to me that she might not be pregnant coz we simply can't tell

guess if she is pregnant then she did a really good job camouflaging until i don't know if she's pregnant or she just has a tummy :dunno:

ladies here, will you be offended if someone offered you a seat despite you not being pregnant???

Yes...I will be offended! Hopefully one day I will not kena such scenario!

Hahaha....Cannot tahan the love scenes in MRT trains too...

hehe i think this is pretty common during mrt rush hour but i cannot stand pple who step on the back of my shoe! once it was so bad that my entire shoe came off and i almost trip, had to stop and wear my shoe, and that fella who step on my shoe still have the cheek to "tsk" me coz i blocking his way when i stop.

and another time, someone step on my shoe and it came off, and worse dunno who accidently kicked it away and i had to hop hop to my shoe among the crowd. so malu

Hahaha.. !! no offence, but aren't dat human nature? well, at least it's apparent in our culture.. or in many big cities, where ppl r juz self-centred & too 'busy' to care

IMHO it boils down to communications btwn ppl.. Did it occurs 2u by asking courteously the outcome/ situation might turn out to be more favorable? e.g. Simle & ask do you need the seat? Do u mind moving aside? AND thank you or appreciate it afterwhich will make a difference.

I not an saint myself, sometimes I do lean again the dr or glass after a long day work.. but when it's crowded I'm more mindful of it. Everyone can makes a difference if we conduct ourselves garcefully regardless wat others do. More imptly educate the nxt generation w/ passion & couresty, not to be self-centred highly educated boor. !! Keep simling!

I had to confess few years ago there was a pregnant lady standing infront of me while I was sleeping, but I was really too tired to give up my seat to her and pray she alight the next stop. Unfortunately she alighted at Bugis all the way from Boon Lay.

i also encountered the nail cutting incident before... one mother was cutting the nails of her kids on the train... it was so unhygenic! apparently, she din notice people was staring at her...

recently, i was very irritated with some people who blast their hp/mp3 players on the trains/buses... it was really irritating... no one wants free music loh... these people just blast... was testing my patience...

just now while boarding the mrt, i walked towards an empty seat.

when i was just an inch away from the seat, suddenly a woman vrrrooommm past from the other side and settled herself down that seat.

Is it socially acceptable to tell someone off for not queueing?

as usual, there's two queue in front of the train door when someone will just saunter up to the door and stand in between the two queues

wanted to tell the person off but not sure coz there's no 'official' queue

This happen ALL the time!! Everytime, I will stand patiently by the side of the doors to wait for alighting passengers to clear 1st before boarding the train. But before you can move an inch, someone just 'cut ur queue' and move in between the both sides of the door. Very irritating right?

But I do notice that aunties or mothers with kids are usually the ones like that.
