Hi Kobelala,

Did the Supreme floor people leave a ~1cm gap between the laminate and your door frames?

For my house, the worker (mine is not from Supreme) did so, cited the 1cm gap is necessary to cater for pranks expansion.

Jus curious whether this is common practice.

Bros n Sistas, thanks for making RT such a fun place.... come back to Reno for awhile, cos this is RT stand for RENO talk forum, not RUBBISH Talk forum... :o:D

later I get ban by the mods.... :(:sport-smiley-004:

The supreme floor people came 2 days ago to change some of the laminates on our platform that was stained by epoxy resin...

Painstaking work.... to change a few pieces took the worker 1 whole day...

This is the Marble Top Dining we bought, very stoopid of me only to take the Table Top... LOL <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

<img src="http://i1131.photobucket.com/albums/m549/kobelala/MarbleTop.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Back in April ; wife n me had already bought a Marble Top dining table.... But as our reno starts and make progress, we find that the Marble Table gets further and further away from the theme we wanted for our home.... so we went back to xclusive last week and exchange for a simple white dining.... too bad the dining chairs initially chosen to match the Marble table we got from Hommage are already delivered.... luckily, they still blends in pretty well....

Dining Table delivered yesterday afternoon....

At night, when wife return from work (notice the darkness outside the window)....I waited for her to officiate the "ribbon cutting ceremony" our replica Caboche dining lamp together :D

need to re-adjust the lamp as it looks slightly slanted....

nice dining light! my hubby loves this light when we went to select the lightings for our home, but ID discourage us from choosing this as our dining light cause it is using halogen bulbs so it tends to be very hot. he also mention the brightness of the lamp would not be sufficient if we choose this design.

do you face this problem with the hotness of the bulb and the lamp is not bright enough? where did you get the lamp from and how much is it?

Hey bro, need your advice. Read that you are using Legrand switches. How are they? :help:

My IDs hv recommended the basic Clipsal ones. I don't really bother about the looks cos I want the switches to be as unobstrusive as possible - so any plain white ones would be ok with me, but I want to know if there is a difference in terms of "feel" (how loose/tight when pressing) and sound/noise (the 'tick-tak' sound when pressed) between the brands.

Do you know or have you tested the various brands (e.g. Legrand, Clipsal n MK) before deciding on your Legrand?

TIA! :)

Hi Fairydust, my answers IMHO only ; I do not face any problem so far as last night, I on the light for my cleaning almost for 3 to 4 hours... Yes halogen will omit heat but I have a basic standing fan at my dining area which helps to dissipate any heat, and I don't feel those "hotness" or "heat" at all...

Also, this lamp is using halogen tube, and this is the best light source to bring out the lamp effect... ... and the caboche is bright enough to light up my whole dining area which is 3.4m by 3.475m.

I got this lamp from Lumiere at Balestier, about $700. They have 2 sizes (Diametre 50cm n 70cm), we bought the 70cm diametre one.
